Solid player. He goes hard. Brings it every play. At a minimum he's great for setting the tone for our young dudes.

Sviatoslav Yuriyovych "Svi" Mykhailiuk is a Ukrainian professional basketball player for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association. Wikipedia

Parents: Inna Mykhailiuk, Yuriy Mykhailiuk
Wingspan: 6′ 5″
Height: 6′ 7″
College: Kansas (2014–2018)

Svi is a valuable shooter and pretty good backup ballhandler, but with his minus wingspan and meh footspeed, his perimeter defense is pretty awful.

He obviously plays better when he doesn't have to worry about getting yanked all the time.

Is he the new Fontecchio? A guy who Hardy fits into a great role thus giving him a real NBA career instead of them becoming perennial end-of-bench / back-to-Europe players.

Tech has a bigger role in his NT, but Svi is also 17+ PPG guy for Ukraine in last 3 events they played in (2022 qualifiers, 2022 Eurobasket, 2023 qualifiers).

Liked the signing last year. Still feel like he’s underrated. Sees the floor well, makes the read and the right play. Also had a couple of nice picks last night.

I think he’s been correctly rated for how he actually plays- but Hardy has obviously seen him play better than what we saw during games in practice, hence his willingness to start him.

This season I think we’re starting to see ‘practice’ Svi during games.
