Swing and a miss

I seem to recall there was no trades within the lotto, because teams viewed those roockie contracts to be very valuable, and no one wanted to trade unless it was an eye popping offer. The OP needs to stop making blanket statements as if he knew what was going on in the jazz draft room. How the he'll do you know KOC didn't try to pull off a trade?

I am a huge Damian Lillard homer. And I wouldn't have traded any of our young guys for him. I personally think to win a championship PG is one of the last positions you should worry about.
No way I would of traded Hayward, Kanter, Favors or Burks for him.

I would of traded Jefferson and the Golden State pick for him. But that is it. PG's are easy to find now days. You can always rotate veterans in that position also.

I'm glad that you are one of the sane people around here. Reps coming your way.

Maynor is going to be a cap casualty in OKC due to the Harden situation next summer. How much will he demand? Any way we bring him back home?

Bingo.
Rookie contracts are and will be extremely valuable as the league enters the era of the punitive luxury tax. It's not like we could have offered Portland the GS pick and Earl Watson.

I think he could be had for a reasonable price. That's an interesting thought.

I don't know that he's a guy you can call your longterm guy at the position, but assuming not a lot changes, he'd immediately be the only PnR ballhandler that this team had. That's worth something, even if just for Favors' sake.

I'll take Maynor as my backup all day. Until he stops being a traffic cone on D, that's his ceiling.
