Some of these last few posts quickly reminded me why it is so easy to loathe BYU fans. If BYU fan thinks Utah fan is arrogant because we still feel Utah can beat BYU, get over it. Sorry we're not jumping ship after getting worked by TCU. The Horned Frogs may very well turn out to be in the NC game. They're better than Utah. Period. However, at the end of this year, they may prove to be better than anyone.
So Utah and their fans are supposed to lose their heads after 1 loss and start worrying that they can't beat BYU? And we're "blinded" if we think that? Those of you who are posting stuff like that are idiots.
I still think Utah is better than BYU. Why? Because Utah State told me so.

Duck, Conan, and I are pretty much the only real fans here. Everyone else is the Salty/JazzJeter of the Coug Nation. We don't claim them.
That being said, HAHAHAHAHA, nice game Utes. Nothing feels finer than watching the hopes and dreams of an entire team/state go right down the crapper.

I would love to see one year where Utah and BYU win a total of two games. "Who sucks less?" would be such a worthless and amusing conversation to see. "We only lost our games by an average of 14 points. We're better!!!rage" "Oh, yeah? Our solitary, meaningless win was against USC, so there!!!tongue-stuck-out."

I used to feel the EXACT same way in the 80's when I was a little kid. Utah sucked, so it was always an amazing feeling seeing BYU lose a big game in embarrassing fashion. Trout, I'm not going to begrudge you on this one because I know how good it feels.
However, it also shows how the tables have turned. When a BYU fans favorite memory of the 2010 football season is Utah losing to TCU, it's clear that the tables have turned in regards to who the in-state big dog is. If Utah can pick themselves up off the ground and finish the season as they should, it will be a 12-win season after they post a 10th consecutive bowl victory.
It's hard to complain about that. The TCU debacle will always linger as a downer, but sometimes you gotta pull up your big boy pants and move on.

Man that game was tough to watch. I had to force myself to stay for the whole thing. Sick.
But, TCU is a much better team. And for some reason, Utah doesn't seem to have the mental strength to deal with them. They looked intimidated. Wynn had the yips in a major way. I don't think that he needs to be shelved over it - it isn't all on him. The whole team looked bad. But it wouldn't have hurt to give Cain some PT and see if he could do anything.
I am, however, amused by those who now assert that Utah is a crappy team that somehow managed to win 8 games before being "exposed". Yeah, they may have been overrated nationally, but they are still 8-1, with a pretty good chance of finishing 11-1. The "all-or-nothing" stance is convenient for haters.
Maybe this will make the BYU game a little more intriguing.

1st of all, nobody is asking you to defend me.
2nd, he took a shot at me in that post.
3rd, he claimed he was one of a few real fans on this board (while saying I was not a real fan). It's totally appropriate for me to remind him that the last conversation I had with him on this board was him saying Utah's #2 AP ranking in 2008 wasn't legit because they did not play in a championship game (and he was not aware that BYU did not play in a championship game in 1984).
