Team USA Announces 12 man roster this week - Does Hayward make the team ?

I know the cool thing to make it about Cousins and Plumlee. If I was picking the team I want 3 guys capable of playing center. So I would take both of them. Maybe Mason will play more because he fits but if Davis goes down or is in foul trouble we need two more guys. We need 3 bigs more than we need a 4th guard.

Right now I think the team should be

1 Curry
2 Harden
3 George
4 Durant
5 Davis

6 Rose
7 Klay Thompson
8 Faried/Millsap
9 Irving
10 Korver
11 Cousins
12 Plumlee

Hayward over Korver. You already have shooters in Curry, Durant and Thompson. Plus I'd take Drummond over Plumlee.
 
Favors > Plumlee imo


Oh and Hayward should get on this final 12 roster. I think the starters like playing with Hayward too. George already singled him out

What has Cuz done in the past couple years to warrant this indictment of his character? Where's the proof of this coddling?

Well Faried said Plumlee was the best player on the select team. Since the USA lost several big man they brought in Plumlee. I think Cousins is the better player but you can't just imply that Plumlee sucks. He was a rookie last year and when he got minutes he produced. If you look at his body you can tell he has worked on it and he is an above average athlete.

Plumlee's style might be more compatible to the international type play. No decision has been made, so it is too early to get upset about the possibility they take Plumlee over Cousins.

Remember that very good players are going to get cut. This is the process. Just because your guy gets cut doesn't make the process or your player suck. Remember Malone, Stockton and Barkley got cut for USA basketball.

Well Gordon is actually looking good. He missed his first shot(wide open 3PT on the left wing) but other then that he played well. Shared the ball as usual and a very good defensive play against Beal. Oh and it looks like he gained some muscles!
