Listen, we can go in circles on this. I don't disagree. A great coach should be able to motivate and get the best nor of the most difficult of players. I firmly believe that and as a teacher, it gets me enraged when I hear other staff members speak negatively about certain kids who I get the best out of. But that's with 7th graders. Not adults. And a coach shouldn't have to always deal with such issues. And for you to sit there with a straight face and say Cousins attitude is way overblown on one hand while saying Wall essentially was able to manage him (which tells me he had to be managed in the first place) on the other is laughable.

I find that while you can be very honest about your UK players, you typically aren't about Cousins. My guess is that you have a soft spot for him. That everyone calls the kid a bum and through your interaction with him and those around him, you know he's not. And that may be the case. He may be a great kid. But like I said, you admit he had to managed. And we all see with our own very eyes his immaturity on the court at times. And at the end of the day, only one person can help him be managed and grow up and that's Demarcus.

I honestly don't think from the tiny bit I've seen of him, he's a major pain in the ***. And maybe he has grown up some. But he'll be 2 th 4 later this month and his clock is ticking and it would be ashamed for eight years to flash by and all of us to wonder what could have been.

I admit I defend Cousins more than anyone. It's because I probably got to know him better than any other UK player.. and he values relationships more than most others. He still picks up his phone.. always in a good mood and funny as hell. Kids LOVE him and Cal's little girl calls him Uncle Cuz. He pouts and he he throws tantrums.. but doesn't do anything as a malcontent. I really like the guy and feel sorry for him, tbh. So yeah, you're right on that portion. I'll stop going round and round as we are both sure we're right and there's no end. Perhaps one day he'll play for the Jazz and the fans will want to learn more about Boogie and maybe gain a big of objectivity of their own.

Listen to the bill simmons pod cast with "boogie". He is really just an off putting personality. Always too cool. Amazing talent, but no doubt a bit of knucklehead.

And I can link a dozen plus interviews that paint him as a way fun and cool dude. Thing about Cuz is he does wear his emotions on his sleeve and you will know if he doesn't like the interviewer or line of questioning. But he's a bb player not running for senate.

Though I respect your opinion and your statements.. you fell insanely short of proving my position as 'patently false.'
And though I do love my UK guys, I have proven over the years to have real objectivity. Was the first here to say meh to Randle, called Goodwin an ***-clown, was fighting against Knight in the top 10, was cautious about TJones... about the only UK player I unabashedly pumped was Davis.

And Plumlee vs. Cousins is a joke, no matter how many contrarian views you take a shot at... "over a 10 game stretch" lmao

I think that was me doe.

This seems like your underhanded way of saying we, or all fans for that matter, aren't objective about Boogie. That's nonsense. It's everyone's fault but Boogie's that he's semi-out of shape, whiny, has tantrums, and seems more about "fun and cool" than being a professional basketball player. At what point does the coddling stop?

Doesn't Hayward have to make the team now? I mean, with all the respect his max deal has garnered around the league, I would assume he would be a shoe in.

Not among this group. Very many qaulity players on the wings with him. Honestly I think it comes down not to who is the better overall player but which guy fits specific needs that Coach K wants to build around Rose, Curry, Davis, George, Harden and Durant.

DeMarcus Cousins is a beast, but ultimately, the staff has to be able to trust him, both in regard to dealing with officials and in making decisions with the ball. During a scrimmage on Tuesday, Cousins punched a wall pad out of frustration as the ball went the other way in transition. It was something that would go mostly unnoticed in an NBA game, but that stuff registers with the staff. He has great skills, but USA bigs don’t need to play one-on-one.

I don't care whether Cousins makes the team, but Plumlee over Cousins makes the whole selection process a joke. NO one other than K woukd have even invited never-has-done-anything Plumlee to workout.

Well Faried said Plumlee was the best player on the select team. Since the USA lost several big man they brought in Plumlee. I think Cousins is the better player but you can't just imply that Plumlee sucks. He was a rookie last year and when he got minutes he produced. If you look at his body you can tell he has worked on it and he is an above average athlete.

Plumlee's style might be more compatible to the international type play. No decision has been made, so it is too early to get upset about the possibility they take Plumlee over Cousins.

Remember that very good players are going to get cut. This is the process. Just because your guy gets cut doesn't make the process or your player suck. Remember Malone, Stockton and Barkley got cut for USA basketball.

Does anybody know if any TV will show the scrimmage tonight? Any streams online?
