I would pick the following team-

Note I am assuming Rose is really not healthy

Starters
1 Curry-2nd scorer
2 George-Stopper
3 Durant-Leading Scorer
4 Milsap-Util
5 Davis-Rim protector

Main Bench Guys
6 Lillard
7 Harden
8 Thompson
9 Cousins-need size and strength on team and Drummond can't make free throws or any jumpers against a zone

Reserves

10 Irving
11 Drummond
12 Derozan


Hmm this team could have used Favors instead of Drummond. I almost took Faried but he can't play Center.

Back Wing spots is tough to pick. In the end in went with the best defenders in Thompson and Derozan. I figure Curry, Durant, Harden, Lillard and Irving can provide enough scoring in the half-court. If would rather had playmaking or passing maybe your take Hayward for the 12th spot. I expect to Curry, George, Durant, Davis with Harden/Lillard to close games.

It is also ironic that George and Durant will tower over Millsap. But he will be playing inside.

Really? So basically you think Spain is going to beat us? Or are you thinking this roster is primed for an upset?

I actually doubt that the US will even have a close game tbh. expecting all double digit wins.

Odds of the US winning gold as per the Bovada are 2/7..

Spain is 5/2

Then France and Greece are 25:1

2/7 is pretty steep odds... thats like betting against Secretariat
 
seriously this team could lose. i smell a bad chemistry and a mediocre defense. just to think that hayward could possibly make this team is depressing.

That lineup causes lots of issues for Spain... Pau's guarding Kevin Durant?? How about Serge Ibaka??? I think not. I'd give the ball to KD and ISO him on the perimeter every single play, Give him 1 target to throw a lob to, and everyone else is ready to shoot from 3.

They can pound the ball inside but Andre Drummond and Anthony Davis are not going to get punked with the whole defense is focused on helping KD. Hardens gambling will pay off with all these other great players around,

I'd sub in John Wall, Slide George to 2, Durant to 3, with Anthony Davis and Drummond at 5 for a change of pace and to play big, but id also fullcourt press after every basket with that lineup...

We're going to destroy these teams, by halftime.. I'm not expecting competitive games.

Damien Lillard and Steph Curry... we're not gonna lose, are you crazy... to who?? Omer Asik and Dogus Balbay? By the time they've won Group C its already going to be laughable.

USA has prime Roy Jones Jr. Odds on them to win... vs a 24 team field
