I have zero problem with hunting at all. I don't care what's taken, as long as it gets used. Want to kill an elephant? Great. Just make sure it's eaten. I'm not real big into wild meat, so I don't do it. Although, while I was in Alaska, they fed us a moose steak. That was one of the best things I've ever eaten.

I don't have a problem with game wasting in managed populations tbh (deer and fish in Utah) or hogs in Texas that breed like rabbits and need to be slaughtered continuously just to keep things in check. I'm with you on elk, moose, etc. though. I didn't even want to hunt coyote last year when they put a bounty on them since the rural farmers apparently needed their herding on public lands subsidized even further.

I don't care if other people do it, but I'm just not a fan of killing. I used to love rabbit and bird hunting, but as I got older and started having kids, things just changed. Can't put my finger on it, but the last rabbit and bird I killed gave me no satisfaction, and in fact, made me feel like a miserable piece of ****.
I'm the same way.
As a kid I hunted duck, geese, grouse, chuckers, pheasant, dove, rabbits, deer, pronghorn, etc etc.

Now I won't kill anything and it saddens me to see things die

Anyway, I just like to be out there with family and friends.

I still go hunting with my dad and brothers too (I just shoot my camera) just cause I like to hike around and spend time with them..... and I love watching the dogs hunt for birds.

trout, do you eat the fish you catch? Just curious.

I know you didn't ask me but I catch alot of fish and I have not eaten a fish in a long long time.
I have cleaned and kept a few to bring to my grandma, aunt, or niece though

I don't want to speak for him, but I think I've heard Trout say that he releases pretty much all the fish he catches. Most the people I know who take the fishing part of fishing seriously tend to release the fish. For them it seems to be about knowing where and how to catch various species of fish.

When I take my son fishing it's all about catching food for him. He doesn't really like Strawberry much any more because most of the fish we catch are just shy of the busting the slot limit and it absolutely kills him to throw "free" food away. Like he seriously gets pissed.

Rarely. I keep maybe 1 out of every 1,000 fish. I do enjoy eating them, but nobody else in the house does and the smell of cooking fish makes my girls sick. I smoke crappie, catfish, and bass whenever possible though.

I just figure if I'm gonna eat meat, I might as well be the person that kills it! Y'all might not wanna hunt, but you're still killing animals if you eat meat!

It's not a moral thing, I assure you. I just don't relish the bloodshed, that is all. If someone else wants to do the dirty work, I'm down to eat the living **** out of it.

Personally I think people who enjoy the killing are weird. I don't hate it (except when it wasn't a good shot and they're suffering before you can get a kill shot), but I don't enjoy it either. I guess I like the hunt, but not the kill! There is something fun about lining up a perfect shot and getting a good kill though, it certainly is an adrenaline rush.
