Tha Mormons

Being a student of Ben Franklin, and observing the fare in this forum, I'm feelin' like we need to decide what we will eat before debating seating at the table. We do live in a professing democracy, after all.

As usual, I don't absolutely guarantee the accuracy of my quotes any better than I guarantee the accuracy of my thinking. . . . .

Sent from my desert cave on the shores of lake Bonneville using my pigeon.

You gotta love this guy.

Book of Mormon kills it at the Tony's. I havnt seen the show but I didnt find that song that really offensive.

They didn't try to make the musical offensive. Trey and Matt, usually aren't trying to be offensive. Push the envelope, highlight unknown or taboo ideas, sure. But I've never seen a South Park episode that wasn't at least a little bit rooted in truth.

For sure, the song was basically saying Mormons just believe without questioning. As well as pointing out the odd beliefs.

The odd beliefs are there but of course our out of context in a song.

Also I can see the view of Mormans just believe with question, but the main message of the Book of Mormon is to find out for yourself if its true which was sort of mentioned in the song. I really wanna see the whole show.

One time I was hanging out with a friend, and we went over to the house of another friend of his (someone I knew of, but wasn't really a friend of mine) and somehow it came up that I'm a mormon. His friend nearly wet himself with glee, and pulled up the mormon episode of southpark on his DVR. We watched it, and I thought it was funny. He was extremely disappointed that I wasn't offended (to the extent that he complained to my friend, later on, that I wasn't a very good mormon and that he didn't ever want to hang out with me again.)
