If you're a farmer, and you dabble in other businesses like that, you're not much of a farmer.

Pretty much anybody who owns farmable land in Iowa is a millionaire, that's no accomplishment. Guaranteed this dude is up to his eyeballs in debt.

Not really. He's worth 1.5 million. Ground in Iowa is getting up to around $10,000/acre. Dude owns at most, 150 acres. Actually, less. Figure equipment is gonna be around minimum of $500,000. So he has maybe 100-150 acres. In Iowa. This guy is one of the poorest "farmers" in Iowa.

I think he mentioned during preview that he started with few acres and now he has over few thousand of them. So something does not compute.

A few thousand acres = 3-4000. I'll do 3,000 to be kind to him.

3000 acres, worth 1.5 million. I'll pretend he doesn't own equipment, again, to be kind to him. That would make his land worth $500/acre. You cannot buy land for $500/acre in Iowa. It is impossible.

So basically, he's full of ****.

What I'm trying to say is that he probably doesn't have 1.5M on hand. All of his assets may equal up to that, but I'd be willing to bet he has a lot of debt. I'm a farmer, I know how farmers operate. Farmers are always worth a lot of money, but are typically always cash poor. Everything they make goes towards paying fert, seed, and equipment. Get what saying?

Ok, who watched second episode? I think it just confirmed that Chris is dumb as a brick. Unless ABC paid him to keep Ashley S. there is no other explanation why would he do it. She is ugly bitch and has nutbar factor 6 ( based on Mr. Wonderful nutbar scale). So ABC must keep some interest in drama going and I bet paid him a bit more to keep her for few more episodes. Otherwise it makes no sense whatsoever. And LMAO at Ashley "The Virgin" -if she is a virgin than I am a pope.
