The Biden Administration and All Things Politics

I could only imagine the hate and discontent hypocrite 2 faced Democrats would've spewed if this were the Orange Man.

The media blackout on Hunter Biden’s laptop remains in force this week despite a major new development with the release of a videotape that purportedly shows Biden claiming that one of his laptops was stolen by Russians for blackmail purposes. He allegedly recorded the statement after filming having sex with an alleged prostitute in a Las Vegas hotel.

It's so damn obvious but Democrats just hypocritically turn a blind eye. Just like with his obvious art laundering scheme.

Lol the silence on Hunter is deafening...

Heres another two faced hypocrisy from you communist Democrats.

Biden is now in his 18th vacation home. When Trump did the sane thing but actually less you all literally cried like babies every time. Ohh but it's ok for Biden... Not a word.

Me I don't care. Take a break. He's absolutely worthless anyways but the downright hypocrisy with you people is on full display about nearly every single belief you've ever had. Trump destroyed you and your ability to be an honest human...

Hunter Biden is a trashy individual - I'm not sure anyone here really can or should defend him.

Another example of someone who's always grown up thinking he can do anything he wants because of who he's related to. Unfortunate that these types of people have ran our country for generations.

Man... It's insanely disheartening that Biden single handedly turned this war into Vietnam. While his top military personnel are crying about "white rage" the Taliban are beginning to take back over Afghanistan, rummaging cities, raping women and children...with our f* weapons...

Biden is a worldwide humanitarian crisis.

Think about it... In April there were 3500 troops in Afghanistan and the place was relatively peaceful. 4 months later Biden, the complete failure that he is in every single aspect is now sending 3,000 troops. Inferior failure in every aspect.

I know facts. People don't vote because of the electoral college and already knowing the outcome of their states electoral votes. Candidates only campaign in swing states.

Change the process to popular voting and your math changes.

I didn't vote in the last election. Mainly because I live in California where the outcome was already decided, and since it was I didn't want to take the time. Also there were no big local or state ballot initiatives or political seat changes I cared enough about. But really I knew Biden would win. No question.

As it was I would have voted for Biden just to eject the GOP (Great Orange POS), but if it wasn't about Trump and there were actually some better candidates I would have voted independent most likely.

But in states like California, and even Utah, where voting dem or repub is basically a religion, it doesn't matter how anyone else votes.

The Pentagon said Thursday it is sending 3,000 troops back into the country to protect the withdrawal of U.S. Embassy personnel, as well as the evacuation of Afghan translators who assisted the U.S. This is necessary but one more sign that the White House had no plan for helping our Afghan allies.

The White House dispatched diplomat Zalmay Khalilzad to warn the jihadists not to take the country by force. Mr. Khalilzad struck the “peace” deal during the Trump Administration that the Taliban failed to honor. The U.S. is also pleading with China and Russia to intercede with the Taliban.

Someone also dispatched White House press secretary Jen Psaki to the briefing room to say that “if the Taliban claim to want international legitimacy, these actions are not going to get them the legitimacy they seek. . . . They could choose to devote the same energy to the peace process as they are to their military campaign. We strongly urge them to do so.” Strongly urging should do the trick.(comic sans)

Meanwhile, Donald Trump issued a statement absolving himself of all responsibility, though he cut the bad deal with the Taliban and set the 2021 withdrawal date. “I personally had discussions with top Taliban leaders whereby they understood what they are doing now would not have been acceptable,” Mr. Trump said. “It would have been a much different and much more successful withdrawal, and the Taliban understood that better than anyone.”

That’s not what Mr. Trump said in the spring when he praised the withdrawal and claimed credit. Both men were so determined to get political credit for bringing the troops home that they failed to face the consequences. The military offered a way to keep a minimal force in the country, providing air and other support to Afghan troops. Mr. Biden refused that advice and bet on retreat.

Loving these right wing knuckleheads pretending they give a flying **** about the Afghani people when they've made it readily obvious over the last year and a half that they don't even give a damn about their own neighbors.

Here’s the painful truth:

Afghanistan was probably never going to be a stable democracy without a certain level of American presence both militarily and financially. We could’ve stayed there for 100 years “training” and it would’ve never made a difference. For much of the rebuild, it was sloppy and bloody. Why we left to invade iraq and divert resources from the rebuild? Only I guess Bush knows. So I definitely get criticism there. But the rebuild had settled into a fairly bloodless and relatively inexpensive occupation. Hell, more Americans will die this weekend from covid in Florida alone than the last decade in Afghanistan.

I think if we could do it over again, a case could be made in a type of Germany/South Korea/Japan type occupation.

So from an American isolationist point of view? I get it. The war and mid 2000s years of occupation were rough. But over the past 5-10, the occupation wasn’t necessarily overly expensive. We kept the Taliban from taking over. It kept the country from becoming a training ground for terrorists. We kept schools open and women from becoming sex slaves. From a humanitarian standpoint, a success.

There really wasn’t a great solution here. My fear is that in the long term Afghanistan will once again turn to a training ground for extremists and the inevitable refugee crisis will do much to destabilize an already unstable region.

Both Biden and Trump have mishandled the Middle East. Can’t serve as president without bungling something there.

The other side of that coin is that the Middle East hasn’t been at peace in centuries as it’s bound to repeat itself time and time again. Administration after administration has made mistakes that compound themselves sometimes a decade or two later. You can’t fix what doesn’t want to be fixed.

It’s just not salvageable - the pendulum will continue to swing as we bore throughout history.
