I'm registered as a Republican in Utah...

Our elections are decided in the primary because Utahns will vote for a person like Owens over McAdams in the general. Registering as a Dem in Utah shuts me out of our local elections.

lol. I’m unaffiliated in Rhode Island. And I never even knew what an “alt” was until I saw accusations about it in the threads here. Never saw that game played in other forums where I participate.

It’s the same talking points because the users you mention have a clearer understanding of what is going on in our present moment: in a nation where the press is not controlled by the government, Trump created a Big Lie and alternative fictional history, to justify his ongoing effort to simply seize power. Just as his hero, Putin, creates a phony history of recent Russian history to justify illegal actions, so Trump too has created a phony alternative history. If he returns to power, his alternative history will be the official history. And I will proudly resist the man. Resist every un-American statement and decision.

That alternative fictional narrative likely strikes anti-Trumpers as absurd. And it’s certainly one reason why I’ve been unyielding in my own analysis of our present moment.

When you get to the point where you think everyone who thinks differently than you must all be the same person, because what they’re claiming is just crazy hatred on a great man, then it’s time to at least realize how ensconced you are in your own version of reality.

I have every good reason in the world to resist a demagouge, a Strongman, as Gen. Milley said, “we don’t owe allegiance to a wanna-be dictator”.

Time and again, I’ve tried to get across that right leaners and left leaners perceive the world at large differently. If you understood that simple fact, you would not think there cannot be more than one of us posting anti-Trump talking points.

I'm also finding Joe Biden to be pretty funny. The same day Kamala claimed DeSantis was playing politics with the storm recovery, Joe Biden tossed her under the bus, drove over her, put the bus in reverse, and drove over her again when he came out to praise DeSantis for his actions and communication.

I, of course, was being facetious in response to the accusation I saw of the republican posters being labeled as such. The fact you couldn't even recognize that is sad.

So I must be one in the same of these rotten trolls correct?
I have 9500 messages posted on this forum, probably near that amount on this forum's predecessor. Very few posts though....:D - your detective skills are unmatched.
There hasn't been much reason to come around lately with the Jazz in a painful rebuild. This little nook is about as closed minded as I remember.

If you care to add something beyond insults and accusations, like maybe facts or evidence as to why you feel this is so closed minded, that would be welcome actually. Buck tried for a while but there is just no defending the conservative side right now. But if you can refute what has been posted or provide a fresh perspective it is more than welcome. Just seemed odd you are not posting for a while and one of the first ones you make recently is defending the ones that are obvious trolls and the most disingenuous posters on the site.

But please give us your perspective. Not being facetious or insouciant or anything. We need a good conservative voice. Many of us are middle of the roaders who feel like we have no good choice, but just that Trump is not just "not the guy", but outright dangerous to our democracy. If you have a different viewpoint please share it, it is very welcome!

I will chalk it up to your being gone for a while that you did not recognize the trolling nature of the posters you are referring to. But anyone (and everyone) can (and do) make assumptions.
