When I was in elementary school, learning about the solemn responsibilities of the presidency, I always imagined a leader who would shut down a McDonald's and pretend to work there for 15 minutes. Very presidential.
 
When Trump calls members of the opposition party “the enemy within”, it’s as if he were saying “I am the state”. His wishes are the nation’s wishes, and if one disagrees actively and publicly, you too can be “the enemy within”. Even a Republican, if they don’t mind their mouth. An enemy of Trump is an enemy of the state. But, he’s only broadcasting that loud and clear. And we’re supposed to understand that “that’s just Trump, the scamp!”. Gotta get a kick out of those fearful of the “Deep State”. Instead, they’re prepared to anoint Trump as the State.

It’s the F word again. No, not that one. Last week, Gen.Milley via Woodward. And in an interview with the NYT, Gen. Kelly weighs in. Hate to see the nation install Trump, if that be fate’s decision. Trump/fascism has been my point for years. But how can one recognize it, and not make it the point? Gen. Kelly recognizes it, not that it’s will make a difference if it hasn’t yet.

The minimum wage for fast food workers experiment in California will prove damning for stagnant wages. Virtually no impact to prices and jobs, yet much better pay for the workers. The only "downside" is marginally less profit to use for stock buy-backs. Oh no, the billionaires have 0.000000002% less billions!
