And I think we all know that 2 will never happen.

It’s so silly that we’re talking about overhauling the system all because Lil Donnie’s feelings get hurt when he loses and his cult following is to stupid and bitter to accept that their candidate isn’t liked by the majority of this country. There wasn’t any widespread fraud that caused trump to lose. So why indulge in solutions in search of problems?

I have a better idea, the minority should grow up and stop indulging in child like conspiracies and victimization. Maybe it’s time to get back in touch with mainstream culture? Maybe it’s time for MAGA to reach out and learn what the majority of this country is like? Maybe it’s time to base political views and outcomes on evidence and facts, not bluster and feelings? Time to grow up folks!

This solution is not to secure the vote, it is to suppress the vote, which is beneficial to MAGA.

Those are dumb ideas from start to finish. I've been mailing in my ballots for years and you can pry my mail in ballot from my cold dead hands. I love it.

The last election was completely secure and has full integrity. We don't need to go back to 1989 so that MAGA boomers feel comfy about their vote. Those things don't make the vote any more secure at all. I mean other than observers which is and has been allowed.

And again. If trump loses and says it's stolen then to the cult it's stolen.
Let's say mail in ballots are banned. Completely eliminated. Not a single mail in ballot is cast in next year's election.

Then trump loses and tells his cult that in the states/cities where he lost they were cheating and allowing mail in ballots.

Even if not a single mail in ballot was cast his cult would believe Trumps word over everyone else's. No evidence needed. Trumps word is more truthful than judges and evidence to them. That is why he has spent the past 8 years telling everyone not to trust anyone. Except him.
Don't trust judges. Don't trust the media. Don't trust law enforcement. Don't trust audio and video. Don't trust people who were close him.
Trust only trump.
And if trump says something that could get him in trouble then you can't trust the "context" of what he said. His words were twisted. He was kidding. It was locker room talk. Etc etc etc.

I do have another solution to this problem. It's a two parter.

1) Wait for Trump to die.

2) Wait for boomers to die.

Problem solved.

We should remember that Fox News paid through the nose (nearly $1 billion dollars) for the election fraud lies they told for months. They knew it too, but feeding drooling cultists like Al lies rather than tell them the truth and risk losing them to even more dishonest and far right media, was more profitable to them.

3. Outvote the **** out of the cult.

Which is what we should do on 2024. Biden isn’t perfect. But he’s far better than Trump. A Dem led House isn’t perfect, but I’ll take them over the Gaetz Bobo circus. I’m not a fan of Schumer in the Senate, but I’ll take a Dem led Senate over a McConnell one. Not a fan of this activist Supreme Court, so that’s gotta change too. And that can only be done by outlasting them (or enacting much needed reform).

The GOP has attacked our democracy. It’s time to rip power away from them until they come back to playing the democracy game again, by featuring sane candidates, good ideas, and belief in the democratic system again.
 
What about those of us who like voting by mail? I get to avoid lines, watching old people try and solve tech problems, and get to research candidates before voting. It’s nice and convenient. And I can track when my vote is counted. utah has used it for years and there hasn’t been any problem with it. I’m part of the majority. Don’t MY feelings matter? Or do we only care about the loud minority that worships Trump and thinks Qanon is real?

I didn't call for anyone's death. I said "wait" for them to die. So for Trump any day now, maybe 5 years if we're unlucky, 10 years if we're really unlucky. Boomers might take 10-20 years until they have no influence on our politics. It's crazy that the flower power hippie generation is the one that wants to push us into an authoritarian nightmare, but here we are. I've got no love for MAGA boomers who are actively trying to make life worse for the generations that followed them.

I won't whine, I will justifiably criticize how dumb they are. I don't have to appease people for being dumb. I don't owe anyone anything just because they want to be little brats. Your suggestion is like telling the parent that "Well unless you want your kid to keep crying and throwing a tantrum then you better let them eat that candy and stay up until midnight." We all know that doesn't work, the opposite in fact, so I'm not sure why I'm supposed to worry about this MAGA boomer tantrum. I ain't giving them any candy.

Just let whoever doesn't feel comfy and who shows distrust choose everything for those that do trust and that do feel comfy?

Yeah I open my ballot in front of my PC and I look up info on all the candidates I'm not already familiar with and cast votes if I feel like I have info to do so. I leave some votes blank when I feel like I don't know enough about the candidates or the issue to make a vote.
