The Big Question...who will stop Nash tonight???

Everybody in town knows the key to the Jazz winning tonight, is keeping Nash from having a 13 assist, 2 turnover, 20 point game. Can the old Devin Harris, who was an excellent ball denier when he played for Dallas, emerge for one more game...bust his butt on Nash and throw the monkey wrench in the Suns offense? We can win this game even if we don't shoot that well, IF we keep Nash from handling the ball as much as physically possible. Your thoughts, please!

I have a feeling that our defense of Nash and the pick and roll will largely be dictated by our foul situation. Hopefully, Harris will be able to guard him and Favors will be able to step out on the pick.

one guy doesn't stop steve nash.

you have to play nearly perfect team D. help on the screen, show hard and get home, know when to go over, know when to go under, cut off the baseline on his drives, everybody be ready to rotate and recover, etc.

it isnt about stopping nash. it's all about defending the pick and roll.
This.

A primary reason Phoenix has been so successful is they focus their offensive attack where the Jazz are their most vulneralbe - which is getting Al Jefferson involved in screen-roll. Derrick Favors is already one of the better pick-and-roll defenders in the league, so it's important he's engaged and in the flow of the game early so he can see big minutes instead of one of those games where he just can't seem to get anything going.

Ultimately it will come down to what teams' bigs defend better - Utah's bigs showing and recovering on screen-roll and Phoenix's bigs defending on the block.
