Playing with both Burks and Hayward should generate some more wide open shots for Burke. I think his efficiency goes up for that reason, if nothing else.

Burke is playing so obviously different than in years past tho.


This isn't fluky jump shooting. He looks stronger. He's playing with purpose-- every move seems so much more calculated.

He's exploiting mismatches, and bad defenses. He's killing PGs off the dribble with no screen-- he rarely even did that back in college.


It's just really, really nuts to see. Throw in a renewed focus on defensive effort? Man. What a preseason by Burke. He's worked so hard, and it's showed. Both Quin and Gordon have showered him with praise.

Is that what you want out of your starting PG? A spot up shooter? Don't think so. TB STILL taking too many shots, too few assists. Nice that he is making a better percentage no doubt.
 
If Burke turns it on and shows up I will gladly eat my crow as someone who thought he wasn't going to make it.
