The Dark Knight Rises

I like how you're acting like some movie snob in your review. Maybe it was the worst in the trilogy but Dark Knight Rises is still millions of miles above any other Super Hero movie, and that's being nice.

Where was your review of that pile of crap called Avengers or Spiderman?

Christopher Nolan's poo log is better than most films. Just be grateful and don't act like a snob because you think there are a few errors in the film.

There were things he didn't like about the film, and that makes him a snob?

I remember when a guy on rottentomatoes said he didn't like the movie and he just got ripped by over 300 comments in a few hours. LOL, the link to his review even crashed. People gave him when **** when he compared the movie to transformers. It was pretty funny.

I feel like it has kind of a "Return of the King" feel to it, where, it probably has more flaws and is more bloated than the other two movies in the trilogy, but, on the other hand, carries this huge cathartic, emotional punch. I loved Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I realize those are more complete and, from an execution standpoint, are superior movies, but The Dark Knight Rises gave me the chills in a few spots. The other two movies didn't fail to impress me, but I never got the spine chills.

Just saw Dark Knight Rises.
MAJOR MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!! (HIGHLIGHT TO SEE):

My two complaints:
1- Should've been an hour longer.
Character development was a little poor IMO except for Officer Blake...he was probably my favorite character. Relationships felt unreal. Am I supposed to believe that a super hot chick will make out with Bruce if he saves her from the rain, Bruce should've seen it coming. She was a business client, there didn't seem to be any romantic fire before whatsoever.
Also, the movie needed more time to show how Gotham was during the reign of Bane. Along with that, Bruce's recovery was awfully fast for how brutal that fight ended. And why was Bruce going out with Selina Kyle at the end if he is supposedly dead??

2- Bane- Is he a brute following orders, or a mastermind? Wish I knew his real story. They could've taken time to tell that because Bane clearly has issues.

Other than that, I thought the movie was real good. Epic. I don't want to rank the 3 movies but they're all a complete notch above most movies I've seen.
I need to see it a second time around because I don't think I fully understood it. Fun movie and it's hard to keep up with the crazy expectations this movie had.

Reply to spoilers with more spoilers, text in white.

Bruce fixed the broken auto pilot on the Bat to send it out to sea, he wasn't near the bomb when it exploded. Hence Fox repetedly bringing it up through out the film. Though I agree, the movie really could have used another half hour at least. Bane deserved more time to tell his story, and the audience needed to see the growing failures of Gotham. I am sure I will grow to like it more upon second and third viewings. But considering expectation of this movie, I thought it was extremely well executed.

I saw it a second time Saturday and liked it much more. The sound was better (I think they turn the sound up in dine-in theaters...I've heard that anyway) which made it easier to understand not just Bane but other characters as well...many of my original problems with the film didn't bother me the second time around...still though, how quickly the citizens turned on themselves was a bit stupid...

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I had all but decided not to go because I just didn't like the last one. I was simply going to wait until it came out on disc. All of my kids had seen it as well as their boyfriends and it was killing them yesterday afternoon not to talk about it with me. They all chipped in and sent me and my wife to the 10:20pm imax viewing last night.

I saw it again today and enjoyed it more too. My issues with it are still there, but I was able to enjoy it more for what it is, instead of thinking about what it could have been.
