Bruce fixed the broken auto pilot on the Bat to send it out to sea, he wasn't near the bomb when it exploded. Hence Fox repetedly bringing it up through out the film. Though I agree, the movie really could have used another half hour at least. Bane deserved more time to tell his story, and the audience needed to see the growing failures of Gotham. I am sure I will grow to like it more upon second and third viewings. But considering expectation of this movie, I thought it was extremely well executed.

I think you misunderstood my complaint about seeing Bruce and Selina at the end. I wasn't concerned with how Bruce survived, but I was wondering why Bruce was hanging out with Selina at an open restaraunt when he was written off as dead. Bruce is a celebrity, so the paparazzi should've be all over him and remember, they gave Bruce a funeral. I believe nobody saw him return as Bruce except maybe a couple people (can't remember for sure). I might've forgotten some key parts of the movie about this, but as far as I know Gotham is concerned, Bruce was considered dead and seeing him in public seemed like a plot hole to me UNLESS Bruce was seen with Selina at a location other than Gotham.
