Well Biden won this round, handily.
I don't know what kind of bounce it will give Obama in the polls, but it should at the very least stop the bleeding. With Obama already in the lead in electoral votes, all he needs to do is stop the bleeding before he bleeds out. I'm confident that happened tonight.
These last two debates should be very interesting. The stakes couldn't be higher at this point.

It was really funny watching how many Utahns were ticked off about his laughing. FB, KSL, etc...
Ha ha ha.
Although, I suspect they were probably angrier at how Biden was winning...

Biden was extremely aggressive, but when Ryan got a word in to make a point it was simple and strong. One of the stronger moments was when Ryan brought up the unemployment rate in Scranton.
The moderator was a lot more forceful about pushing the debate where she wanted. She interrupted Biden when he would attempt to go off on tangents, and interrupted Ryan in the middle of his point.
Biden pleased liberals very much with his performance, and I as a conservative enjoyed the simplicity and beauty of Ryan. He has such beautiful mesmerizing eyes.
I watched the debate on PBS and laughed when Mark Shields had a Chris Mathews moment and said, "It comes down to what your taste is and my taste is Joe Biden."
The moderator was a lot more forceful about pushing the debate where she wanted. She interrupted Biden when he would attempt to go off on tangents, and interrupted Ryan in the middle of his point.

A few quick observations:
1. I thought Biden continually laughing and smirking showed arrogance and it certainly didn't help him overall.
2. The debate in my mind was a wash. Each side made good points at certain times of the debate.
3. This debate really didn't matter because people are more focused on the top of the ticket rather than the VP. I think people will try to argue with me on this and try to use Palin as an example. Let's be honest, McCain had no shot at winning that election when you factor in him following a very unpopular President from his party at the time.
4. I think Biden fired up his base. Something that needed to happen after the President flopped.
5. The moderator should have stopped Biden from interrupting every 2 seconds. I believe they kept track of the interruptions and the number was 82 by the end of the night. It's fine to disagree with someone. Just give them the chance to put their view forward. Some might say that Mitt did this to Obama in the first debate. To some extent he may have. I thought he was more respectful in the way he approached it.
Anyway, that's all I have. I look forward to the next debate.

MSNBC had a group of eight undecided voters (good balance of age, race, and gender) brought in before the debate and asked them afterwords if the debate caused them to lean one way or the other. Four of the eight said they'll now be voting for Obama, one said for Romney, three remained undecided. This is obviously a very small sample, but more of them made a decision tonight than I would have expected. I'm just not sure we should jump to conclusions about the affect the VP debate had on undecided voters. Things are close enough at this point that I think every little thing counts.

Some of the posts I saw were just a silly...here's a jem for ya: "Is Paul Ryan the only one taking this debate seriously?! I am in awe about bidens constant laughing and he is asking more questions than he is being asked!!!"
I don't know how anyone could seriously question whether either of the candidates were taking the debate seriously. They prepared for months. My god.
I often wonder how much trouble I'd get myself in if in a really heavy situation and somebody said something silly or flagrantly untrue (say, a cross-examination for example). Laughter is a great coping mechanism most of the time, and the worst coping mechanism some of the time.
