The Debates

Of course some are. I generally felt like Biden had a better overall grasp on the facts and figures.. I was attempting to look past the over-animation.
I'm sincerely unsure what independents saw. While watching the debate, I thought it was a bigger win for Biden than what is being reported.. but as I said, I don't know how much of the norm I represent.

See that is the thing right there. If Biden had stopped distracting from everything, even his own message, with his drama queen act then he would have been seen as clear winner. No landlside or *** kicking like the last debate but a clear winner. Biden was his own worst enemy.

I just do not see Ryan as ever being great on a debate stage. eh is smart and can hold his own but he lacks the charisma that you need to be great at debating. Biden has that but messed it up.

The CNN poll shows Ryan won, other polls show Biden won. I dont think you can say Ryan was "destroyed" when polls are showing otherwise.

I think it was fairly even. I give a slight edge Ryan only because the majority of the country is talking about Biden's smirks and smiles.

Now if you really wanna see an *** KICKING go rewatch last week's presidential debate.

What the hell are you talking about? CNN shows 61% to 39% in favor of Joe Biden on their frontpage poll. https://www.cnn.com/

In my best beantown voice; "Damn fact-checkers!"

good post

Which was exactly my point. I'm sorry if you felt like I was specifically using you as the example. But many on FB and on this board are using Biden's interrupting as a scapegoat for whatever "loss" they felt Ryan took last night.

personally, I think Biden won and showed that he isn't some crazy drunk. Ryan meanwhile, didn't completely get destroyed and pull a Palin. Ultimately, they both accomplished what they needed to:

A. Biden needed to stop the bleeding that Romney inflicted on Obama's campaign.
B. Ryan needed to avoid screwing things up.

Both did that. Biden "struck" back and slowed the Mitt Train. Now if Obama can pull a tie or win the next debate, he's back in business. Ryan accomplished what he needed to. Had he won the debate, Obama's reelection campaign would be in big trouble.

Biden won... Big. But he needed to.

Ryan lost... Big. But he wasn't sunk like Palin. Had he just been destroyed and looked like a complete idiot (like Palin) Romney would be in trouble.

So it's allllll good.

Ryan needs to tone down the facial expressions, and over-acting for the camera with dramatic pauses and such, imo.

Recent polls have ROmney up in VA, FL and N.H.

Obama was up by as many as 15 in N.H. A 19 point swing seems awefully steep for a week. That is the end of campiagns type stuff. I don't really believe that Romney has had that big of a swing in N.H. Seems off...

It doesn't matter, the poll shows a very clear winner today.

You asked and I gave you the answer. So the initial reaction is that Ryan won according to CNN. So it does matter.

It appears that the more people think about it, the more they think Biden won.
