What's new

the ever-changing feelings about Enes Kanter

Waiters for Kanter?
sure!
no need to reflect much upon that actually.
Waiters covers a need and Kanter is replaceable.

Waiters covers a need? He is a shooting guard who is worse than hayward and burks, so ya he covers a need if our need is a 3rd string shooting guard.

Lol, Don't trade Kanter unless he is part of a deal to land us a big name guy. Certainly do not trade him for crap like Waiters.

I must see him play under a different coach. I believe Tyrone Corbin's coaching style really affected his performance. I think Kanter will show whether he is a bust or not in about 3-4 years. I think he will see his ceiling then.

Kanter is slowly getting over his injury... This month Kanter is playing again as a starting 5 player. He drops 13,11 in 31 minutes per game... Iam 100 percent convinced that Kanter will make a huge jump in scoring, passing and rebounding next season. Also defense will get a bit better...

Kanter needs to get as strong as he was in his rookie year. If he gets stronger than that and with his genetics its not that hard to do, with his skill-level as well as his jump-shot ability he will be impossible to defend. I want to see him at 270-280 lb next year banging inside and being that unmovable objekt he was before. I want to see him even stronger out their. Stop with this ******** of losing weight and bulk up in to a bull Kanter-Man.

He can barely jump right now and gets his shot blocked a lot. Plus he can't defend anyone who is taller than him already. If he is at 280 lbs he would be slow and glued to the ground and anybody will be just shooting over him at will. Bad idea.

I'm going to go out on a limb here....

Enjoy these last 10 games of the season, because we won't be seeing Kanter and Favours play together for the jazz after this season ends.

My first guess is Enes gets traded, but I could see scenarios where Enes is retained and Favors is moved.

But the Jazz gave Favors a long term deal.

Kanters defensive shortcomings most of them mentally have nothing to do with jumping. Kanter never will be better than solid at the defensive End. The Utah Jazz have such a horrible defensive system, that every player looks worse. Including Derrick Favors...
Kanter in his first year was very good at holding opponent bigs from the basket with his huge body. This year, also because of his shoulder injury his body is not as strong as Kanter is conform with. So he struggles even more, even at rebounding the ball.
We can see how he is getting stronger and more aggresiv during the season. He was not even posting up against players, at the start of the season.

Kanter will make a huge step next year in both ends... It will not matter if he bulks up like I want to see or not. But I think it´s much more interesting Kanter playing like a bull, pounding one after another as fan.

Kanter would like all you to tell him what you think of him.

I've seen Kanter have the lateral footspeed to contain PGs in the PnR and I see him control his body enough in a shot contest that he should be able to not foul (at least eventually) and play what I guess I'd call "The Obstacle" on defense. He's not going to block three shots a game, and he could really afford to learn to take a charge, but I think he could be a good defender. I really think a lot of that comes down to the coach because I think he could use that. I also think he can be a legit stretch big.

We'd never see Joel THE NEXT HAKEEM Embiid next to that version of Kanter, so someone tell me to knock it off.

But the Jazz gave Favors a long term deal.

Just cause Favors was inked doesn't make him untradeable. In fact, because he was inked at such a good deal, and none of those years have ticked away, I say his contract is more appealing to other teams who may have real value to offer.

I personally demand to see more of the duo, especially under a new coach. They have looked a lot better as of late, which makes me think they would be further along had they of played more together all season.
