Joe, that's what I have just heard. If he is really 19, he is incredible and is extremely physically gifted. His potential would be much higher if he is truly 19. I would still take him if he is older though.
Correct. Harris is a scoring PG. Isn't that what we had in Deron? I'm not saying Harris is a top-5 PG; he's not. But Devin is actually a better finisher on his drives than Williams was. And give the guy a shot at learning the offense (in whatever form it takes). He was a mid-year addition, playing with a bunch of guys who were as equally lost. I can see a solid offense forming with Harris driving and looking for Jefferson, Favors or throwing it back out to Hayward. Devin played pretty well after returning from his injury.Well, none of us know what the new Jazz system is going to look like yet, so that statement may be a bit off. Harris is skilled PG. He once was considered an All-Star. The guy can ball, and the guy can help us win games.
My dream line up for next year:
PG: Harris/Jimmer
SG: Hayword/Miles or Alec Burks
SF: Milsap/Evans
PF: Favors/AK
C: Jefferson/Tomic
First team play mainly man to man and execute old school Jazz offense. Pound it down low.
Second team play mainly zone and run as much as possible. They are long, athletic, & quick. Also, with the zone it will hide any sort comings from Jimmer's D. I also think the zone is effective in spurts as not that many teams in the NBA play it.
But if we are in position to add a elite PG, we take it, right? I'd rather have a top 5 PG then a top 20 SG.
I don't smoke weed... I am realistic. I didn't know Jimmer, Alec Burks, & Tomic were on the team. There is enough talent on this team with a these three additions to be very good. Jimmer will be very good NBA player.
So three rookies off the bench are going to swing us from ****** to very good? Sounds about right.

You might need another cup of Koolaid.
No seriously.
Have some more koolaid!
I insist!
I don't think that's the philosophy per se. Start McLeod or Palacio on the Lakers or Spurs and those two teams wouldn't have won their titles. You need to have a quality PG to win. I also think the team can make or break a PG. Devin Harris on the Mavs...all-star. On the Nets...2nd tier player. Fisher on the Lakers (well, except for this year)...pretty good PG. On any other team...end of bench. The idea of the new no-elite PG ideology is just that. No. To. Them.
