Still Rudy imo

Kinda surprised that the Hill vote hasn't gotten any traction here. I admit that Rudy is playing amazing and the same could be said for Hayward in the last five games but in my mind, Hill is the one player we just can't seem to win without or at least the point differential spikes in the wrong direction. The ironic thing is that we have more point guards than most anybody else in the league and yet none can do what Hill does on the court, not consistently at least. My view is that Favors (remember him) can fill in for Gobert without giving up much. Of course if they're both out (Gobert and Faves), yeah we're absolutely screwed in the worst possible way.

Check the 20 or so games that Gobert missed last year.

Out of the last 5 games Hill has missed, we are 0 - 5. Our defense free falls and that's with Gobert on the court. Our offense becomes isolation and Hayward has to score 30 to give us a chance. Hill is the guy right now. But Gobert is a close second for me.

I have a top 3 and all are equal.

Rudy, G, Hill

We win with all 3. With the other good players, we win big.

Without any one of those 3 things are hard.

Of those 3 my vote would be a toss up.

It really depends on backups. If Rudy goes down, Favors can slide over. But Derrick is out so you'd have Withey and Diaw covering the 5. Not great options.

At PG, with Hill out, Mack, Exum and Neto get mins. Dante is a huge reason our bench sucks. He hasn't improved one iota. Another year and we can officially declare him a bust.

If Favors plays last night, we win even without Hill. Rudy was so concerned with Whiteside that their guys were getting to the rim pretty easily.

Well who was it?

I think Gobert barely edges out Hayward for this award. Although it is hard to see us having much success without either of them for significant time this year. Favors was dispensable although he wins the award for "What could have been Man."

So hard to tell this year with all the injuries. With Favors being out or hobbled all season I guess we have to give it to Gobert.

Gobert in a landslide

I went with Hayward. But now Gobert is the correct answer.
