Here's the thing, though; this is basically the exact scenario where you can both hope that he finds some self-awareness and where a team can afford to take the risk. Potentially being on the brink might be enough for him to get his **** under control and the cost to find out might be low.The problem with Brooks is not that he is just a unreliable shooter, it's that he thinks he's the main character. Can you coach him into thinking he's just a strange but memorable(in a bad way) NPC? I have my doubts.
I think he’s one of the exceptions to this rule. His brand of doucheiness combined with his shot happy ways make him a guy even his own fans are just completely over. I heard his mom even hates his ***.I'm not a Brooks fan and don't want him on the Jazz. When people say stuff like, "you would love him if he were on your team" I strongly disagree . That said if the Jazz could get him on a deal, I could probably talk myself in to beig ok with it.
I feel like Dillon Brooks on court value is probably about MLE level, so if we could get him for half the MLE level that's probably good value. I think the main problem is that Dillon Brooks thinks he's a Max level player.
It will be interesting how this plays out.
