There’s just not enough upside here to take a stab at it. History has shown that if you’re gonna take a chance on a loose cannon, they better bring at least 1 elite skill set to the table. Perfect example: Rodman was the best rebounder of his era, which helped make his sideshow tolerable.

What skill set does Brooks bring to the table that qualifies as “elite”? Spoiler alert: Not a damn thing. The Jazz still have a lot of positions to be filled before they start looking for that 1 crazy dude that might get them over the hump. We’re the wrong organization at the wrong point of our rebuild to even consider this clown.

As a grizz follower for years, i told hundred times that you don't win anything with Brooks as a starter. Not a bad defender but totally erratic offense + a golden fish IQ......seems that the Grizz finally understand....take them long.

I'm not a Brooks fan and don't want him on the Jazz. When people say stuff like, "you would love him if he were on your team" I strongly disagree . That said if the Jazz could get him on a deal, I could probably talk myself in to beig ok with it.

I feel like Dillon Brooks on court value is probably about MLE level, so if we could get him for half the MLE level that's probably good value. I think the main problem is that Dillon Brooks thinks he's a Max level player.

It will be interesting how this plays out.
I think he’s one of the exceptions to this rule. His brand of doucheiness combined with his shot happy ways make him a guy even his own fans are just completely over. I heard his mom even hates his ***.

I know he’s a good value on a minimum deal or whatever… but I cant handle watching him on my team… no thanks.

Do people that have a lack of self awareness ever like “wake up”. I have know several people in my life that should have woke. Up multiple times in their life and yet they are still as clueless as they have been their whole life… that is the thing with self awareness… even when you hit the bottom you still look at the floor like it’s the one that effed up. If you honestly think he will change then maybe you don’t have these people in your life so congrats… I’ve had enough that I just laugh when people think “this time they will change” and it always blows up spectacularly.

**** no. I actually like rooting for the players in this team. And unlike say a Luka, another player I absolutely despise, there's not even superstar talent to go with it.

Just a small sample.

Imagine being Steven Adams, poor bloke having to cash the cheques written for him by dickheads like Brooks and Ja.

Wait a minute Steve made 18 million this yeah, **** him he gets no sympathy.

I fault no one for not even entertaining the notion, I just want to make the point that at a small salary (between the vet minimum and, say, ~$2 million a year with a team option on the second year), he'd basically be free to try out. If he hasn't found self-awareness or sanity or whatever, you just cut him. Easy peasy. If he doesn't come on a contract like that, then don't bother.

Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.

Dillon Brooks is a man who lacks substantive character. He strikes blows at the naughty bits of LeBron Raymone James! This could damage structure, resulting in the end of reproduction for Mr. James. Now, extrapolate if Brooks were on our Jazz and he threw a similar blow in practice to good Sir Markkanen. No Sir, I do not want Brooks on our team.
