I personally consider threats to bomb theaters showing the movie as something that concerns all of us. But to each his own.

Agreed... if it were just a hack that would be one thing. But they went well beyond that.

I think there's 2 separate things at work here.

1 the hack.

1 the threats on our theaters, which is 100 percent on NK (or on Al-Qaeda or on ticked off medical students dressed up as Joker pretending to be insane)

I was speaking specifically to the hack. And we all know that the hack is the #1 reason why this movie hasn't been released. Sony is scared out of their minds about further leaks which would lead to even more lawsuits.

Sorry but no, they're not separate things. The terror threats were made by the hackers.

Edit: Also, Sony pulled the movie only after a bunch of theaters refused to show it (because of the terror threat made by the hackers).

The Interview was a plighted bad movie, made only marketable by its preconceived terroristic nature (and I saw Ultraviolet). So Sony was going to do what it could to not look like Daydream Johnnies, and attempt a recoup in independent theater and digital media through social media. I kinda wonder how much the movie actually cost to produce to how much it will make through this. I'm sure there will be some conjecture to that for years to come
