The "Is This Acceptble?" Thread

In my 1st official act as return of the people's champ, I would like to open up a thread where any little poster-- regardless of race, sex or intelligence-- can come without fear of getting frac'd and hope to learn more about the system which rules him or her.

Have a great idea, but fear you might get frac'd for it? No problem, there's a often a fine line between genius and insanity. But HOLD UP there buddy--DONT DO IT just yet!

Come here and ask if it's acceptable 1st. Hopefully your kind friendly neighborhood mod will eventually drop by and give you his or her 2 cents on it before you actually post it. This poster can then have a better idea of how the system works and make his/her decision. Like many things in life, communication is the key here, bros and moes. This is great to lessen work for mods (preventative healthcare tbh) , reduce infracs (and in turn bans) for valued and also invalued members of the JFC. Especially for those of us on a #ShortLeash. This can also be used to bring attention to something which may be bothering you--For example.

i think this is a good idea. more communication = more clarity = better health. and ultimately a step towards the betterment of this great community.

1st question: After seein the "I hate rapists" thread i was inspired to think about what i hate, so I wanted to start a "I hate neggers..." thread in general discussion. Because i still support the no-neg rep crew, hate negativity, etc. etc. BUT -- I don't want to be confused for a racialist and get frac'd for it. "Is this acceptble?" Pls advise. #ShortLeash

Do what you want, there's no black and white (see what I did there?). If you offend people, it gets reported. If your report is deemed "frac'd"-worthy, it will be.

I took a stand after a certain someone came back for like his 64th time after 6-months that all legit reports I'd automatically be one of three votes for infraction. This person, nameless mind you, caused a LOT of work over the years to the mod team and although we welcomed back these nameless persons, it wasn't going to be as if there was no history. Take that however you wish. I'm not going to play these games with you.

Welcome back to the board bro. As you know, I love you like a brother from another mother, and I say this with the utmost respect - please find it within yourself to take it down a notch. I know you're eager to make a sploosh/splash/whatever you wanna call it, but you'll have plenty of time for that. Play the long game. Remember, this game is 9 innings long, so you don't want to blow your shoulder out in the first 2-3. Trust me, it'll be worth it in the end.


Why listen to me? Because I've been holding the fort for you for the last 6 months, and, frankly, I need a ****ing holiday. So in the meantime please don't do anything I wouldn't do until at least the All Stars break.


Just think of it as helping another brother out.

just FYI bros n moes, this thread is not about me--it's supposed to be a tool for the Jazz Fanz Community. Something to help out the regular bro n moe. For the people, by the people. Enjoy.

edit: sorry, let me clarify. I'm saying I voted for "ignore" as in "no warning or infraction needed". Not that the report itself was ignored. Although if you keep on reporting trivial things like this, that might be the next step.

Seriously, you reported this post from the site owner, saying that it somehow offended you--for reasons that aren't clear to me especially since it wasn't even directed at you but rather at a poster who had previously been banned from the site.

No one thinks you are. What's your goal? You don't believe what you're saying in your reports. Are you looking for some sort as mod action against you as some vindication of something?

I heard the site owner artificially alters his infraction receiving capacity to the combined number received by the most infracted poster.
