The Jazz are trading D-Will to New Jersey!?

Good trade

We avoid becoming the next Cleveland/Denver.

We get two solid players, one of them has the talent to be elite. Worst case scenario, Favors is 6'11" and athletic. Far better alternatives than Fess or broken Memo.
We get two lotto picks.
We ship off someone who after running sloan out of town wasn't coming back.
We build for the future. Hopefully one that includes a championship run or two.

We weren't winning with Deron. His lack of leadership was getting worse. Chemistry was at an all time low (reminds me of Carlos Arroyo). And we pulled the trigger while we could still get some value back.

Also confirms how bleak the possibility of next season being actually played is.

Sloan does not use a tractor. He stares at the leaves in anger. After about two minutes, the leaves, quivering in fear, form into piles.

closer. instead of "rake", think "rake over the coals". he was going out to get some leaves and then rake them over the coals with his foul mouth... until, being utterly demoralized, they would form into piles.

From a PR stand point I think this takes big cajones by KOC cause the feeling I get is more people still loved DWill then hated him and they could've just stood pat and if DWill left let him be the bad guy now the pressure is all on KOC and the Jazz FO.

Dwill is the antichrist to the Jazz organization. He ran off our coach and now this, we should have drafted the nice one chris paul, dwill is a douche!

So now instead of a log-jam of mediocre wing players we have a log-jam of mediocre 4's? Great.

Memory

I might be wrong, but isn't Devin Harris the one that got busted for smoking pot and was soon after traded by Dallas to the Nets?

I am also left thinking about the loomng CBA and left thinking the NBA has obviously come more about money and entertainment then sport. Yes sports are a form of entertainment but there is a difference mainly in the form of competative balance and it seems the NBA could careless about that and just about the bottom dollar and trying to keep up with the NFL and becoming something it may not be.
I don't expect players to say pay me less but I would hope business management people in charge would know what the NBA is and it's limits and not expand beyond what it is and try to be something it's not. To use a sports analogy it's like Pippen (or any other star thinking or wanting to be a superstar) wanting to be the man for Chicago saying he can carry and do it without MJ.
I can't think of any specific business examples but I know there is some that the owners know they can only expand and increase revenue so much without effecting their long term viability and the oversaturation of their market overall.
