You do realise Lauri would've played 70+ last season and the one before if the Jazz weren't tanking? He isn't going to just miss games organically, and of course that's the one thing Ainge Jr. promised wouldn't happen.
 
Even if it's hard task become All NBA in a losing team, Lauri will give it a shot. In this current form there's zero chance he's ok to sit out until there's very likely risk to aggravate body to injure.

On the other hand, Lauri has been an all star before and won the most improved player before with those teammates.

I think he was injured a lot last season and the jazz were playing to lose. He also may have improved as well regardless of teammates.

Still a good point you make though.
 
Year one I think Sexton was playing a 15 minute per game role off the bench. And Clarkson had basically a career year that year then missed most of the second half of the season and Collins didn’t come in till the next year. Also I think Lauri was held out a bunch while healthy the Jazz did get fined for sitting him a bunch.

Yep. I think last year his not so good play was more about him never getting in a great rhythm with missing games and nagging injuries and constantly changing lineups and rotation and hardcore tanking to the worst record in the league than it was about his teammates.
 
The package Lowe mentioned is all DET can really trade, except for Stewart maybe. It's way worse of a deal than what Shams indicated we turned down from GSW. I'll say it again, Lauri isn't getting traded.
