The market for Enes Kanter

And who are they going to give away to make room for him?

I've been wondering if Brooklyn would consider Burke and Kanter for Jack? I'm sure they want to get younger and think they may do it.

Would we though? They have virtually no picks to offer. And I feel like we could do better.

I'm a big Jack fan though.

You`re so desperate to get rid of Kanter that you`d just give him away for a back up PG - a nice one though - that we could easily find on the open market if we wanted to?

We had better be getting more than Jarrett jack if we are trading kanter and Burke. We need some picks.

i have another guess.the pelicans should have enough capspace to give enes plenty of money when asik is a free agent. Big rotation of Davis, Kanter, Anderson and Whitey seems pretty cool. If the jazz keep enes till the summer they will have the last say and its gonna be so exciting because its a 50/50 situation. in gordons case it was clear that the jazz gonna keep him...

I don't think it is likely that someone else will offer kanter $10 M per... Just can't see the fit out there. There's a 75% chance he just accepts the QO imo. There may be a chance the Jazz resign him for 8-10 M per but I'm not sure he'd take it.

If anyone offers him close to max they are crazy.

Good post. I don't do it though since I think kanter (a pretty good, upside having, young big) is more coveted than jack (an older, mediocre, low ceiling small)

Nope. Even if they renounce Asik, they`l have about 60 million tied up in 6 players + draft picks and cap holds. If Eric Gordon were to opt out they would have the space, but there is absolutely no chance that he is doing that.

I heard on a podcast that GS might be willing to give up assets(picks) to get rid off David Lee's salary, but they might need some short-term solution in return to help them in their championship push this year. Would you be willing to get David Lee for this year and next + draft pick for Kanter?

The calculations are kind of complicated, but in short it has to do with them paying luxury tax next year if they have to resign all their prospects. They were discussing trading him for Kevin Garnett or similar piece. Now Kanter is not that similar, but he's still a big who can give them scoring off the bench...

Since we own the 2017 draft pick, it would have to be this year`s pick since they can`t trade consecutive draft picks. Trading Kanter for 2 years of David Lee + the 29th or 30th pick of the draft is just futile.

Yah, I kind of feel the same way. If it was this year's pick + 2019's pick... it might be worth it. But I agree - in general it is a long shot...

That would be an absolutely terrible trade for us. Terrible.
