Essentially, the truth is really this: If Derrick Favors and Enes KAnter can become the best front court in the League, the Jazz will be pretty awesome, given that we keep Hayward and Burks and also land the right point guard for our system. Even if Corbin Stays, As long as the C4 are getting minutes, we'll be Fabulous. So my question is as follows: Do you think Favors and KAnter will ever form the best Front Court in the NBA. Keep in mind i am not counting the 3 position when i say best front court.

Also keep in mind that there are plenty of other strong front courts or promising frong courts out there.

Drummond and Monroe
Gasol and Big Zach
Love and Pekovic
West Hibbert...

Million dollar question my a**. They will be either the best or among the best. Hard to quantify who the best is.

hahahaha. hmm... I think you can certainly quantify which front court is the best overall. Advanced Metrics is making that easier to do too. Right now, the only 2 bigs that have a good chance of being better than Favors and Kanter are Drummond and Monroe. AS of right now, I think Kanter will be better than Monroe, but Drummond will be better than Favors overall. before he got injured, Drummond was already showing growth we have not seen from favors on the offensive end. It pains me to say that too. Maybe i should have just asked which Front Court will be better 6 years from now: Ours or the Pistons.

One thing is for certain: however good they get, a Millsap/Jefferson frontcourt is always better.

can I vote that this is more a hundred dollar question. right now the million dollar question is do you want the jazz to make the playoffs?

Favors > Drummond
Kanter > Monroe

I agree that Kanter is better than Monroe or will be much better, but Drummond was pretty fabulous when he was getting minutes before he got injured. He's also bigger, taller, and has a larger wingspan tahn Favors. look at their per 36 mintues stats

Favors: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/f/favorde01.html

Drummond: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/d/drumman01.html

Also, Drummond is younger and has less experience. It hurts me to say this, But it does seem true.

Actually, I think the do you want the Jazz to make the playoffs questions is realy quite simple. The Jazz will be swept if they make the playoffs. that is just the way it is. However, by not making the playoffs, we get a lottery pick, which could be a decent PG like Burke or the Syracuse kid. I Love watching the Jazz in the playoffs and I would be happy to do so, But getting swept again just doesn't sound appealing to me.

Barely missing the playoffs or barely squeaking in wont make a huge difference in the pick. We should have started the great tank mission weeks ago.

Andre Drummond is shooting 36.5% from the free throw line.

Favors might be a HAIR (doubtful) worse as a rebounder, but is equal or better in almost every other aspect. Both are very young players, so it is hard to choose one over the other. What I DO know, is that Favors is young, and will continue to improve.

His FT shooting has been huge. Honestly, if the dude can avoid travelling calls and offensive fouls, and hit a FT-range jumper consistently (which is very possible, seeing as he's flirting with 70% from the line) then we have a 15ppg player.

I'm going with Anthony Davis and Nolin Nerel. Nerel might be a game changer someday even though he's like 180 lbs.

If Kanter becomes the most dominant low post player -- not <50% Alfense dominant either -- then yes. Favors is too limited in post defense but his scoring and other defense would be adequate.

If the jazz won the lottery then it would make a HUGE difference in which pick we get.

Playoffs= 15th pick or worse right?
Lottery could equal the #1 pick.

I am so confused. What do you mean FAvors is Limited in post Defense?

3.5 rebounds a game per 36 mintues is quite a difference. Drummond also would be averaging like a block and a half more.
