Other two russians or other two russians and one montenegrin:)?. Yes, I understand that races are not as easy as black, yellow and white. Barea and Arroyo for example, both from Puerto Rico, one is white one is kind of brown. What race is D.Williams for example? or Blake Griffin?
At the end of the day it does not matter. As long as play winning ball they can have all 15 players black or white, nobody should care or accuse team office of some specific race selection when getting players. It is beyond ridiculous. Then what is next? Every team should have one gay, one transgender, one muslim, one jewish and at least one sikh player so nobody would be offended?

I think K. Love believes they have better team then Jazz this year. If you speaking about Roy, he looked very good in preseason. Maybe those germans know what they doing when it comes to repairing those knees.

Oh I don't doubt that German surgeons are far more educated in matters of almost anything comparable to surgery than American surgeons.

I was also insinuating on Kirilenko's usual conditioning (even though he is one of my favorite players), and the fact that teams will play the Ronnie Brewer card on AK and let him fire from 3 all day.

If B. Roy is seriously back to his old self, then Kevin Love is going to have to restructure his 3 point bombing game a little.
In the end, I think the Jazz are younger and more comparably better.
Not to mention the T-wolves are still way undersized in the post.
 
I think we need Affirmative Action in the NBA. We all know that Minny is home to millions of racists. They always hated KG there and always refused to give him any large contracts. And we all know that Kevin Love sucks and Rubio is a flop....

The Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, and Utah Jazz are just too damn black.

At this point, I'm seeing one of two options:

ONe of the things I've learned about human nature is that when you try to argue with the aggressively ignorant, it only serves to confirm their preconceptions. Pointing out why you're wrong would only make you more convinced you are right. So, even if I were in the mood to type out 3-5 long paraqgraphs on Racism 101, including one which explains why the myths of athletic superiority are actually harmful to black people, it would be wasted in this environment. If you are really interested, you'll do the research. My prediction is you won't bother, because you find your ignorance comfortable.

He works for the Timberwolves. You don't even work in the NBA, AFAIK. Therefore, I take his opinion as at least being based on actual direct experience, unlike your baseless dismissals. So yes, eventhough I see no reason to think one of the Timberwolves' primary motives in their player selection was racism, I also think the players opinion is worth listening to.

Are you asking me because of a genuine interest in the social dynmics in black neighborhoods vs. white neighborhoods, and the intersections of that with racist beliefs that loeads to such an imbalance, or are you just laying down some silly challenge?

Undersized in the post? Pekovic will wear any opposing center down. 290lbs of muscle undersized? Stiemsma may not be the strongest but he is 7 footer who led NBA in blocks per minutes. K.Love mentioned after Olympics that it was eye oppener for him how stars scarifice their touches for team wins and that he won't need to score or take as many shots to win. I seriously suggest to watch few Minny games - even without Rubio and Love they look great. Just scary what will happend when they both will be back.

Here's my list

1. The white players in question on the Timberwolves are pretty good basketball players, are they not? Is Kevin Love only in the NBA because he is white? What about Rubio, Vucevic, or AK? Are they only in the NBA because they are white?

2. When making basketball decisions, should the Timberwolves always be aware of how many white people are on the team, and therefore stop at a certain number, no matter if it makes them better or not? If you and this guy had it your way, there wouldn't be any white people playing.


I honestly have no idea what your point is. Seems like you are just practicing using your liberal arts degree.

All I see is team trying to get better, so they went out and hired the best available talent. In fact, they tried hiring some other black people first, but they were racist against the Timberwolves and didnt sign there. (See what I did there).

Hell, I dont think anyone noticed how many white people were in the team except this one jackass. Brandon Roy said it himself, he didnt notice until someone said something. So while almost everyone in the NBA didnt see anything wrong with it, this one guy did. And we should all listen to him. Why? Because everyone that cries racism is right? Huh?
