Resign Dunn, Yurt7, Luka, THT and Kira Lewis and give them some run. Hope for the best on the 10th pick. Trade Clarkson for a 2nd round pick. Sign Romeo Langford and instruct Hardy that he had better win or else and he is playing the best players. Remember Ainge likes Lewis and Langford.
 
I'd trade both JCs for Ben Simmons... I followed your rules lol. I'll stay mostly out of this as my thoughts are known.

I think the only win-now type of guy I can get behind is really Lavine if he's "free".

I like Simons too but we are then starting to collect a lot of guys with overlap on their issues.

The contract is a real issue, though. I'm fine either way on whether we did or didn't pursue Ingram, but I think if we're balking at him it's a pretty high likelihood we're stepping over 20s to find 50s and end up grabbing 10s.

I guess there's a low hanging fruit for him to improve on.

If we trade for him, I think you would be able to talk to his agent and figure something out first.

Simmons is a really low risk move IMO. To me, the "distraction" means almost nothing. Maybe the locker room will get terrorized if they can't handle their teammate being the victim of twitter memes....but his contract is expiring and he's actually a good player (even now) when he's able to play. Simmons would be a terrific match with Lauri. I would definitely be in favor of this kind of move.

I don't know how to disassociate my overall thoughts on the direction of this team from this discussion. Even when I'm looking at this list, I'm thinking not about who will make us better but who will cost the least.

OK, here you go... If you really want to be as good as possible next season. Trade 3-4 1sts for Ingram, trade 3 1sts for Garland, pay Bruce Brown in FA if he hits FA, pay Caleb Martin in FA...

I don't think we need to go all in and be the best team possible next year....I made this thread because it is most likely that the Jazz will go for a talent upgrade of some kind. The reporting could be wrong, but we should have at least one space on the forum that will talk about what is most likely. Every single discussion talks about whether we should tank or not,o you can have that same discussion somewhere else if you want to. This thread is a different discussion.

I think we're still missing a distributor. Miles is a really good fit with Lamelo, for example. Miles and Lauri would be a great tandem as far as play finishing....but still need a lead ball handler. I don't think you need to have all the pieces together in on year though.

Purely as a basketball player, I could see Bridges being like the wing version of Sexton.
