The Move Forward Plan - NO TANK DISCUSSION IN THIS THREAD

His efficiency jumped up a lot this season,he's a wholesome player that fits perfectly in Hardy-ball. When Brian Keefe took the HC job in Wiz this January, Deni got a bit more better run offense imo. And I think Hardy is a better coach. There's a reason why Deni was the better player when we met Israel (they have had one of the best run, modern offenses in int.basketball imo which tells me what Hardy could get out of him in Utah) with team Finland the last time. Deni is really good and under correct coaching, borderline all-star.
Wholesome players dont make all-star teams. Freaks do.

We traded KO and Tech and collapsed. How about look for someone to fill those roles? Bring over the Tech replacement, trade for Boris Diaz, haveLofton, Sensabaugh lose weight and find a way to improve defense and ball handling.

Yup, I made a new thread that goes into that a bit since this thread kind of devolved into a tank thread were people are talking about the merits of adding Ben freaking Simmons.

I dont see it unless Pelicans have a plan to trade McCollum. Sexton/McCollum is not a synergistic backcourt.

I think NOP will have to look past CJ soon. He is probably difficult to move on that salary....but Sexton isn't that expensive and Jones is also on a super cheap contract. They can move CJ to the bench if they can't find anything. They can also win a lot of regular season games with them both playing together.

I screwed up on who is playing for Clippers..lol. But my point still stands. Trade for a do it all big man to run the hub. If you want to compete now (although I think Chomche can evolve into a swiss army 5 - he runs super hard and showed flashes for all skills and super young).

Never change lmao

Pretty much any and every rumor surrounding the Jazz has mentioned them trying to upgrade their current talent level. We heard from Ainge himself that they "almost" got a guy that would have made their direction more clear. THIS IS NOT A THREAD TO SAY WE SHOULD TANK. Instead, this thread is intended to discuss the possibilities when we make the assumption the Jazz do want to move forward and upgrade their talent. What are the options? Who do we like most? How can we acquire them. What does that mean for remaining players on the roster? Below is a preliminary list of "almost guys", but feel free to add more or discuss other potential targets.

Ingram
Miles Bridges
Trae Young
Dejounte Murray
Tyler Herro
Jerami Grant
Anfernee Simons
Darius Garland
Zach Lavine
Demar Derozan
Kyle Kuzma
Cam Johnson
Julius Randle
Tobias Harris
Lamelo Ball
CJ McCollum
Keldon Johnson
Karl Anthony Towns
Ben Simmons
Good thread. I think Danny ideally wants to trade for 25–27-year-old players (he said “six- or seven-year veterans” and “1 or 2 stars” in his post-season presser) who can still get better, who would be easy to move if needed, and who are a good fit with Lauri (are good playmakers). From your list I like LaMelo, Lonzo, Ingram, and Ben Simmons. I don’t think LaMelo and Lonzo (who expects to be ready to play in the season opener) are available though. One problem here is that 2025 will probably be a better year for big game hunting. Also, our young guys need time to develop. That’s why I don’t mind if Danny can’t catch any big game this offseason.

^ That post calls for Deni Avdija as well, other than age. Four years in league, can get still much better, great fit with Lauri, easy to move if needed (no need, Deni will be one of the best third options in the league pretty soon.)
He won't be cheap,though.

I actually think they will try to trade Jimmy an cobble up enough assets to trade for Mitchell/younger max player.
That is 100% what they are trying to do. I don't know that they will accomplish it.
