The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

One action resume well the new Cavs. Last Nets possession in the first, Don try to steal the ball and miss the interception, resulting to an open 3 for the Nets. Don immediatly get angry with himself and speak to his teammate saying, this one one me . Something we almost never see at the Jazz. Don really becoming a men right now and a true leader. Cavs will be tough to beat this year. Mark my word.

Huh? We literally lost 3 playoff series because he refused to play defense. And he basically said as much afterward. He never owned up to missing defensive assignments or anything even close to that. Not sure what games you were watching. If you could post a few video clips of him doing that in utah that'd be great.

He said "Something we almost never see with the Jazz", not "saw".

But if he meant saw, Donovan took accountability plenty in Utah as well.
Not sure you are aware but english is not his first language. I took it as nothing we saw from Donovan when he was on the jazz. Pretty sure that was the intention. And it makes more sense since he is fully aware we had Rudy Gobert, best defensive center maybe ever.

And just like with cy, please post a video of Donovan taking responsibility for his defenses lapses in Utah.

Here is him showing the opposite:

Recently, he’s had good intentions as well. Two years ago, when in Australia with USA Basketball, he heavily emphasized that he wanted to become an elite defender: “For me, the biggest thing is just to get back to my roots. The biggest thing is to elevate my defense, to get back to what got me drafted.”

We haven’t seen that in actual game action, though. Mitchell was rated as a bottom-20 defender in the NBA by FiveThirtyEight’s RAPTOR, which analyzes shot and tracking data to estimate a player’s impact on that end of the floor.

And in the playoffs, when it matters, Mitchell’s defense is having a negative impact: Players are shooting 11% better than their normal FG% when guarded by the Jazz’s star in the first three games of this series. Jalen Brunson, especially, has had a field day.

And again, Mitchell’s recent comments on the issue leave something to be desired. When he was asked about Dallas targeting him on defense, he responded: “I wouldn’t say I felt targeted, to be honest. I didn’t feel like it was like ‘Go at Donovan.’ But if that’s what they decide to do, I’m confident in my abilities on defense, and so are my teammates. But I’m not too worried about it.”

That was easy

Keaton Wallace, Cason's brother, is averaging about a steal per game and 0.6 blocks per game in 14 minutes. He's currently shooting 50% from the field and 40% from 3.

I can't help, but think that the Bucks could have picked up someone like him and they would be a much better team.
