The Non-Jazz NBA Thread in the Jazz Section

Don't worry, groin injuries are not serious. He'll be right back to playing 36 minutes and scoring 27 points.

I mean, it's AD. He is the king of having an injury that looks like it will be a 2 monther then returning the next day and looking fine.

Cross posting my thoughts from RealGM:
The Lakers really have to move Reaves for defensive help, but this trade is going to be strange among several dimensions.

-Reaves is an UFA who will receive a max contract after this season.
-Unclear Reaves can win in the postseason due to being a poor defender.
-Reaves has such a small contract that he has to be combined with many other players to be moved and this causes issues with the Lakers being near the second apron.

This is LeBron's last season so you kind have to try to compete now and Reaves and Luka are an AWFUL fit long-term anyway so you have to trade Reaves (the Lakers are 26th in defense and have a negative SRS), but this is going to be a weird one.

If Reed Sheppard wasn't an offensively explosive guard with massive defense concerns as well, the Rockets would be an obvious fit, but...

Obviously, a Reaves to the Jazz trade makes little sense as the Jazz do not have any defensive pieces other than uninjured Kessler and hypothetical Ace, neither of which would help the Lakers right now.

Last night reveals the template for the Spurs achieving *and MAINTAINING* dominance: play Wemby 20-something minutes a game. If they can simply be competitive in non-Wemby minutes then they will win a lot of games and probably several championships.

I'll buy that in the regular season, but he's going to have to play 30+ in playoffs
