The Knicks are playing much better of late and have nine wins now and are 4-1 over their last five games. We can hate him all we want but with Carmelo in the East, if that team starts to "get it," maybe they could surpass us in wins. Cross your fingers. We could really use them and the Pacers to end up with better records than us. If that happens, I think we have a shot at Russell somehow.

Do not tell them we just went 10-10 before this pathetic bump. Or that Atlanta Jazz lead the league. Add Wes and Al to that team???

There is more than one way to win championship. Jazz copy tank model to appease fan sentiment and think it sells more cars. Imagine what a conference finals with Al-Sap-Korver-Hayward-Defensive pg and a bench of Wes, Burks, Gobert, Favors, Kanter, Ingles, Booker, and Exum would for sales? Tanking is so short sighted and letting Sap, Al, Korver, and Wes go for nothing proves the Miller family motive.

It's nice to cherry-pick a roster. How did we end up with Exum again? And there was no way Millsap was going to re-sign with us for $9M. He took that deal out of desperation because Utah left him hanging. Are you from the future? I didn't know Atlanta had won a championship yet. And BTW, AL is a horrible fit on your roster. Millsap would not be the player he is with the Hawks if he were starting alongside The Black Hole. We already had that for a couple of seasons.

This is such a tired argument. Korver was sent packing because he ADMITTED passing up shots to protect his record...shots that an offensively-challenged team needed him to take. Matthews...yes, a mistake. Ain't hindsight great? But $9M was too expensive for the Jazz to pay a player who had a solid, but not spectacular season. Had Larry H. allowed an AK trade earlier to free up salary would the Jazz have kept Wesley at $6M (i.e. not in the luxury tax?). Not sure.

AS for the team above, run the salary numbers. It would never work. Not to mention draft picks don't stay the same when the team is likely making the playoffs instead of in the lottery. So nix Burks and Exum and replace with lower picks. We'd also likely have Corbin as the coach. Is he as good as Budenholzer?

Why not go back and say imagine what a team of Favors, Paul George, Klay Thompson, Giannis and Gobert would look like? Also should have thrown whatever assets we needed to give Atlanta to move up for Teague instead of standing pat and drafting Maynor.

Indiana's win today puts the Jazz in the 6th spot (by percentage points).
Lots of tough games in February for the Jazz, could get to 5, which is the "hard cap" I have on how high (er...low) we can go.
