As for this thread, Boler's voice (a decent thing) doesn't make up for his insanely low basketball intelligence. Listening to other announcers is painful sometimes, realizing how much better they are than ours.

The homerism isn't on Boston-Tommy's level (thank God) but other than his voice that's really all there is to offer.

I don't see him getting canned until he decides to move on. Whatever. At this point, it's almost become a nostalgic thing for me. I just laugh when he says skip-pass now.

Matt on the other hand, I think is totally totally fine. Not among the best, not among the worst either.

For the vast majority of us, the ratio is probably about 20-50:1, so your balance isn't at all regular. A 1:1 ratio is quite terrible, frankly.

Who cares about basketball IQ? I'm not looking for any TV announcer to educate me on basketball. Just speak well and have the occasional funny catch phrase and sound excited when some big **** happens.
