Just saw on Twitter that Jody Genessey is taking some time off to deal with personal issues. I believe he posts here as DJJazzyJody or something like that. I enjoy his articles but I did think something was not quite right this season. Nice of his boss to give him paid leave to deal with whatever he needs to.

Good luck, Jody. I hope you get whatever help you need and come back strong!


FYI, this was the last story I'll write for a while. I've been struggling for a long time with personal issues that need to be resolved.

My boss was kind enough to suggest the personal leave (paid even!). I hope to be back by the end of the season. I have a column out soon.

Shouldn't speculate, but health is at least a huge concern. Maybe not the cause, but certainly a symptom. He really let himself go physically, probably in reaction to other things going on. As PKM said, he's a good one, so we just wish him the best with WHATEVER it is.
