which is funny, didn’t we just hear that this type of behavior was fine? Even if he and Hunter were both enriching each other with Quid Pro Quos from Ukraine, wouldn’t Biden be able do that? After all, didn’t Ernst and the GOP just recently argue that a president can do anything he wants?

The funny thing is, Joe Biden's work in Ukraine was in complete accordance with the GOP at that time. It's just bad faith all the way down with these people.
 
I wonder how far you could take Dershowitz's argument about reelection being in the public interest. Does that same standard apply to political parties seeking majorities? Surely the Democrats believe holding both houses of congress to be in the public interest. Would it be OK for them to call on other countries to investigate their political rivals, with the threat that they'll withhold votes for aid to those countries if they don't comply?

Exactly. He’s making one weak impotent attack by claiming that you saw Alan’s argument on CNN. We don’t need to have the news filter to know what Alan said, we could all have just watched his testimony and gotten the same message. It’s pretty obvious.

Besides, if Alan can’t articulate what he means the first time, maybe he shouldn’t be Making arguments before the senate? Just an idea.

Of course, Cult 45 will refuse to recognize the inconsistencies and loopholes of their own arguments. Doing so might hurt their feels. And we all know that their feels must be preserved at all costs.

I’m going to say two things.

First, I think the stereotyping from the left of rural and southern folks is really really stupid and wrong. The recent Don Lemon Clip was painful to watch.

so I’m onboard when we point this out and embarrass those who perpetuate this stereotype.

and second, there seems to be no backlash when folks from the right ridicule the coastal and Hollywood elites, an equally stupid stereotype.

Let’s just join together and get rid of these biases. Join me!

disagree. I think right wing rural folks are doing a fantastic job of stereotyping themselves. It’s one of the things they can control in an ever changing world.








This last one is particularly powerful:



until white rural folks get over their petty identity issues, they should expect to be mocked and ridiculed as the brainwashed rubes that they are. Catering to them is a sure way of giving us Fascism. We’ve already catered to them for 3 years and look at the damage that they’ve enabled the president to do. They’ve given trump powers no other president has had.

Haven’t we learned anything yet? We can’t keep compromising and giving ground to authoritarians and their followers. Whether we’re talking about Southern Democrats, German conservatives, or former KGB operatives.
