The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

People are throwing around terms “Communism” and “Fascism” like candy without any regard for what they actually mean.

It is pretty stupid (but on par with some posters) to equate universal health care to Communism. It isn’t. The UK’s government run NHS isn't Communist. Even government run health care (i. e. the VA) doesn’t mean we are using Communism. It really doesn’t promote understanding by diminishing what Communism, Socialism, Fascism, or Capitalism are until they essentially mean the same thing. Either we can discuss these issues truthfully or it becomes yet another meaningless slog with Trumpers crapping all over the place.

I’ve found this thread to be enlightening. Most Americans see this corrupt administration as it is. It’s been helpful actually. I hope we can truly “drain the swamp” this fall and return a sense of normalcy. Hopefully we’ve had enough of a “reality” Presidency for our lifetimes.

Lmao. Except the government is corrupt from the inside out. For me there is nothing to learn. Our government has completely run a foul in every way possible. And it isn’t fixable till people everywhere get on the same page and stop following their party with the blind faith I read every day on this thread. It’s asinine reading posts from different posters reviling the other side and calling them corrupt but not seeing the sins of the guy or party they support blindly. And when you see it you turn the other way and ignore it. We have allowed corruption and don’t seem to care.

I’m not trying to sound like an extremist or anything but this hasn’t been our country for some time now, and we need to take it back, but I just don’t see how that’s possible.

when have Americans ever been on the same page?

What specifically do you propose changing in our government? Every election we vote new people in yet we complain about corruption. So what specific things would you do to change the system so elected officials don’t become corrupt and self-serving?

When specifically did the country stop being “our country?” Could you give me a year? 2016? 2006? 1985? 1865? 1787? When?
