The official "let's impeach Trump" thread

It's cool to see mundane things like closed door depositions in what amounts to a grand jury investigation turn into something scandalous just because some people say it is.

Especially when those same people were doing the exact same thing four years ago.

when you are guilty, attack the process. It is patently obvious.

Also really sad that the oval office is full of criminals who are surrounded by criminals and 40% of the country says "no big deal"

Lol asking for transparency is a bad thing. Asking to hear both sides of the story and having equal representation instead of secret meetings is somehow wrong. To the President of the United States.

Lol this is why I can't do it with you guys.
I have heard Trump's side of the story. He actually admitted it, the dumbass that he is.
Secret meetings? I know about them, you know about them. How are they secret?

I listened to an MSNBC interview of Republican Trey Gowdy from 2015. He clearly stated that more useful information always emerged from closed hearings. He said this was the case because politicians of both stripes were unable to play to the camera, so you just ended up with straight questioning, no posturing, no screeds, just straight forward questioning by members of both parties. He clearly stated that closed hearings always produced better results.

And, as has been stated repeatedly, there will be open hearings prior to drafting articles of impeachment. Further, due process for Trump will take place in the Senate trial phase, as it does in any trial.

In addition, we have this problem to be concerned with, which are usually harder to pull off when the hearings at this stage are public. We will hear from Taylor and others, in public hearings, prior to drafting articles. We should also expect to hear from all important witnesses during the trial phase:

If transparency was needed in situations like this, Why'd Boehner and co build it this way?

Just like Republicans and Benghazi you don't want transparency because there is nothing there... There's only one way to prove me wrong. That's take a vote. Something now being pushed back til 2020.

"Oh but there's so much evidence". Yeah sure.

The meetings aren't secret, and Republicans are represented and are free to ask whatever questions they want.

Maybe you don't know better, but the Matt Gaetzs and Kevin Mccarthys of the world certainly do. They don't actually believe this process is either unfair or unusual, but they are counting on people like you to.

Where are the transcripts?

2020 is under three months away.
