The *OFFICIAL* Russia Is About To Invade Ukraine Thread

The U.S. has exploited night ops for like 25 years now. How in the **** could a nation like Russia not be up to speed on this? I mean with all their hypersonic missiles and the such?
Zero Dark Thirty for the win I guess.

Their better units may have had it at the start of the war but they're no chance to maintain the logistics to continue to support night fighting.

Russia seems to be encountering some severe internal issues. Or at least is preparing for them. Sounds like the head of Wagner is going after the minister of defense. He accused the army of attacking Wagner. Moscow has recalled FBS officers to protect government buildings and guard against potential attacks. Weird

It looks like the Russian government thinks it is going to lose this coup.

TASS has pivoted from calling Prigozhin a traitor who would be prosecuted, to now calling for Prigozhin to work out their differences peacefully. TASS is the official outlet for the FSB.

It is important to note that Prigozhin is not calling to oust Putin. He wants to oust the head of the Ministry of Defense only. There is a rumor that Putin has become incapacitated.

This would not be the first time internal troubles took Russia out of a war.
Russians getting ready for a special screening of Swan Lake instead of the regularly scheduled programming...

On one hand this turmoil in Russia is good for Ukraine. What I fear though is that if there were to be a "rapid unscheduled transfer of power" in Russia it is possible that people less corrupted, less incompetent, more ruthless and with fewer restraints might be in control of the war.

Now is the time to push the counter offensive

**** me, this really is now quite dangerous, a potential civil war in Russia and the potential for nuclear roulette. **** me.
