What's new

The Official: Trade Conley and Exum for Lillard.

I apologize to all of Australia generally... I just wanted to get off some Simmons jokes. I hope you can accept my apology... I have been a supporter of your King Lord Joseph English III for quite some time.

Please accept my apologies too, America is cool. Hollywood resides there afterall.

really, what has he done besides develop Mitchell, Rudy was already there

Rudy was here when Quin got here but he was a completely different player, his development under Quin has been nothing short of amazing. Hayward developed into an all star, George Hill had by far the best year of his career, Ingles and O'neale were picked up off the scrap heap and developed into very good players, Rubio became a better player, Bogdanovic is on pace to have the best year of his career. He's also led us to two 50 win seasons and three straight playoff appearances, including two series wins as the underdog.

Yeah but what has he done lately?

U idiot lol
Doubt it is all program to blame, they had very decent shooters come out from Australia - Mills, Ingles, Delly, even Baynes now hitting 3's like crazy. I remember they had this dude Shane Hill in 90's - he was lights out shooter. Exum and Simmons are more exception to the rule TBH.

Shane Heal dude You know there was also this guy called Andrew Gaze who could kinda shoot

Really Simmons and Dante are really the two exceptions.

There have been many success stories under Quin. Royce, Joe, Donovan, Rudy even though he was already here doesn't mean he wasn't developed well under Quin, Hayward as we had turned him into an all star, Mudiay even though it's early has the same trajectory of playing his best basketball in his whole career with us. Etc etc.

And hopefully down the line, which is going to take a bunch of time, Bradley will also be in that list. Not something crazy like a starter quality player, but a very serviceable back up.

Exum will likely go down as the Andrei Kirilenko of this decade. Except Kirilenko had a few good years, an all star selection, and a number of unique statistical things under his belt that’s keeping people arguing how mismanaged he was. Die hard Dante fans may have 4 minutes of playoff time guarding Harden and a summer league to hang their arguments on.

In 10 years, vicious arguments will break out regarding Exum, and a contingent of JFC will argue how much potential he really had and how Quin mismanaged him. The other side will argue that there was nothing to base that on. More moderate posters, who also know better, will point to small sample sizes of defense to extrapolate into defensive stopper.

Here's how I'll remember Exum: Bust.
