Niang is a homey all star in that he put up great GLeague stats. But Indiana and Golden State let him go. I think we see their reasoning.
I don't mind Niang getting minutes. What I don't like is having both Green and Niang on the floor.
His defense looked improved in the first few games. I could only watch a few games but when he isn't asked to guard SFs or guards, he is doing well enough. Effort is there but sometimes it leads to fouls. I would wait a bit longer before I put him in the doghouse.
