What's new

The official trade Niang Thread.

I don't mind Niang getting minutes. What I don't like is having both Green and Niang on the floor.

His defense looked improved in the first few games. I could only watch a few games but when he isn't asked to guard SFs or guards, he is doing well enough. Effort is there but sometimes it leads to fouls. I would wait a bit longer before I put him in the doghouse.

I think Niang has Tyler Cavanaugh's disease. He just doesn't look good doing it even though he might put up decent to good numbers. It's just like he never passes the eye test.

I think once our offense starts working optimal there will be more chances for him to score, he's had very few attemps for 3 that season so far. He was getting more open looks last season. But his defense is really bad.

Probably the only way to get rid of Niang is packaging him with someone like, for instance Exum when it's nearing trade deadline. He doesn't bring much of anything as a stand alone asset, unless Snyder is trying to play him to bring up his trade value somewhat.

Niang sucks really bad, he looks like a grocery store clerk also. Where is Kyoto to stick up for his favorite player ?

It is totally inconceivable to me that Niang has put the work in over the offseason. He should not be worse but he very clearly is. He is so ****ing bad.

Niang and Jeff Green are the weak spot in our roster. I'm not sure what to do about it. Between Exum and Mudiay, the Jazz should get adequate backup guard play. It would be cool if Brantley could break the rotation.

He needs to not play unless he’s a small ball 4... playing him with Green and Bradley doesn’t work. It’s time to see someone else.

I think hes playing over the young guys because they dont grasp the system yet. As poor as Niang is playing at least he knows where to be. Hes probably the most boring basketball player to watch in the entire universe.

Niang is really not a NBA caliber player so trading him will be hard. Should go play in Euroleague or China.

I feel bad for him at this point, I think he's in his own head. Came into the game last night and immediate stepped out of bounds.
