The one man who can stop the Golden State Warriors

Jazz need to see if Exum is going to be the guy at the top of the key defensively. If he can disrupt the great PG's with the best rim protector in the world behind him they can be feared in a different way than Golden State scares everyone.
The only way Jazz close the gap on Golden State is not trying to outscore GS but by strangling them on the backboards and go after them by defense.

I keep saying it ,IF Jazz can play healthy from start to finish with (Gobert,Favors,Burks)resign (Hayward),blend in Exum and Lyles, and get Hood another year experienced.and keep Ingles ,the Jazz will have speed ,length and all their players will still be getting better. They can go from 51 wins to 60 wins.

It would be nice to see Exum learn to finish in the paint I think this could be key in competing with GSW. The Cavs had success doing this but obviously they have two of the best finishers in the business.

The only man that can stop Golden State is Kevin Durant. And ge can do that by pulling a LeBron and going back to OKC. Unfortunately, there's way too much bad blood for that to happen.

Sometimes I dream that KD signs with the Celtics this summer. That would help quite a bit with the parity issue. I see no reason why he'd do it, and I think I'd still pick the Warriors to win it all.

Sorry, I guess this was meant to be a Gobert tribute thread. I love the guy, but he needs a lot more help if he's going to disrupt the Warriors. I mean, the Warriors just wiped the floor with the Jazz...

Hopefully he follows Haywards example, gets in the gym and works his *** off. He just needs to get stronger. I think last offseason was about getting back to playing shape after the injury, and hopefully this offseason will be about getting stronger and more physical. Hayward is night and day from his first three years in the league. I salivate just thinking of a bigger stronger Exum with all that speed

I think Exum has to be allowed to take it to the rack when he knows he can get by who's defending him.The short leash Snyder has on him needs to be seriously loosened.

His body language when he was the PG against GS was wanting to probe and take his guy. With his speed and length this should be encouraged and not penalized for not strictly adhering to the Jazz offense. With the heavy amt of offense displayed by the best teams in the playoffs, especially GS ,you better be able to get some points.Exum has to be able to play to his strengths in helping the Jazz.No other player on the Jazz has to change their whole game like Snyder is trying to do to Exum's game.

What happens when the defense stands 15 feet away from Exum? Better yet, what happens when the opposing PG decides to take the ball away from him just because he can?

He should look to solve those problems before thinking about taking down the Warriors.

You mean like Exum's last game against the Warriors when he played PG ?

Luckily your points will look old and outdated when Exum comes back healthy and stronger which young men tend to do as they get older. So your cherry picking on a 20 then 21 yr old boy will look of bitterness than expert opinion.

Please tell me how he stops GSW a from shooting jumpers???? If anything GSW is the worse matchup for Hubertw. They are a jump shooting team. Do you watch basketball even,I'm being serious. Last year it was Exum you was pimping as the next kobe.lol

Should Exum not be what Jazz want, I'm very sure teams with much more uptempo will find a place on their team for what a stronger more experienced Exum can do.Talent wins in the NBA and Exum has alot of it which suits himin the new NBA.The high scoring games of the finals show slow and old don't get it done.

Why would He sign with east coast team where he have to face LeBron before the finals? Come on man... If any team it would be Lakers or Spurs

This looks like you missed alot of the game yourself ...There was alot of layups between GS and Clev ,not just jumpshots.Getting to the basket is still alot of both of there offenses.

The new NBA you speak of has point guards who can pull up and nail jumpers. I don't think. exum got that game and if he ever does its not going be for another 3 to 4 years. HEe was very raw coming into league. H
Didn't grow up playing over here in the states. Its a different beast of a game compared to Australia

That's because Cleveland has no shot blockers but warriors have no problem winning off jumpers when They have to face a team like the jazz and let's face it Gobert isn't someone the warriors are stressing about it afraid of. These guys are the best in the business and work as a team They have great ball movement. All players play unselfish. Jazz will never best the warriors in a series as long as the roster they have is togethet

Well his best friend from Australia was the #1 pick in the NBA draft last year ,Ben Simmons and maybe if you knew more about BB you'd know another Aussie was the #1 pick in the NBA draft ,Andrew Bogut.
Andrew Wiggins from Canada was also a NBA #1 pick

When you can play basketball doesn't matter where you come from anymore

Man you real smart ...but at this moment that can be said of all the other teams .One thing is for sure though Jazz won't win playing like their Golden State.Building and playing to their own defensive identity will get them closer to GS and that's with Gobert anchoring the middle.Jazz are actively trying to close the gap by controlling the games pace and controlling the boards. They trot out length and matching athleticism with any team .Being healthy has never allowed us to see how dominant they can be as of yet.

Did we watch the same game? The game I saw Exum started out playing great, then the Warriors made the adjustment of not guarding him and he finished the game 5/14.

I don't know why Exum fans have to take everything so personal and defend his honors. Just because some people don't see him as the second coming of Jesus does not mean they are bitter or haters. There's some middle ground between Exum being a superstar and being out of the league. Somehow that is a concept that flies above the Exum White Knights.

Oh, and by the way, I don't think you know what cherry picking means. These are consistent problems that Exum needs to address. Referencing a one game sample size (one half really) and ignoring the persistent issues is what cherry picking is.

Man I don't think just playing good D is going to beat GS. We have to score 120 and win the rebounds, also get a badass 4 that takes advantage of draymond and has him in constant foul trouble. That's why I want Gallinari and Frank Mason. Those are reasonable picks up!! Chris Paul, Paul George etc etc ain't happening. Maybe we can get Klay as our 2, he knows their team. Seems like a good idea to get behind enemy lines.

He missed a bunch of lay ups.
They were at his mercy.
