THE PERFECT backup Jazz Center; Boban Marjanovic

Boban Marjanovic is a 4 year NBA vet, who is long and skilled. Although he is 31 years old, he is very reliable while on the floor. The downside is he can only play around 15 minutes per game because of his speed and his knees. While on the floor, he is rated as one of the most productive Centers in the NBA. You can guarantee that his limited minutes on the floor will be quality minutes. Thoughts?

The perfect backup C for the Jazz? How about Tony Bradley?

He is 21 years old, has only played in like 12 meaningful games in the NBA, has huge upside as a rebounder, he is #2 in the nba in offensive rebounds per possession (just behind Penes Kancer), and is super cheap!

Yes, I agree. His strength and speed improvements over the last couple years has really made him a player. I believe he will continue to improve and he already does some things very well. Needs to foul less. But, you know, with fans, the grass is always greener somewhere else.

Boban has perfected that little one handed push shot from about 6 to 12 feet.

He was shooting them over Montrez last night who had no chance defending it - it was almost comical.

But as mentioned earlier, Powell looks like he's out indefinitely. No way Mavs part with him.

Props for bringing a new name to the backup C discussion. I would rather stick with Bradley, but if Boban was free I would have liked him (again, not happening now).

When the Jazz win the championship this year, the top thread will still be some idget trying to cut Tony Bradley for cap space to bring on Noah Vonleh or any other parade of losers.

Hard to see Mavs letting him go now given how thin their front court is with Powell’s injury last night
