Why did you close my awesome "metric buttload" thread?
LOL, good question but not the one that really counts... Why is it a "metric" buttload? And what's the alternative to the metric system called - the system we use, it does have a name, doesn't it?

This. I kinda liked it, and didn't see anything any more overtly offensive than gets posted with some regularity.
Interesting that the metric system applies to both distance and weight, but the Imperial system is only for distance. Did you know we use the Avoirdupois system for weights?
