The Real Decision - Gobert and Burke

If I had to choose between Kanter and Favors, I would trade Favors. His salary is higher, he seems to have peaked, he doesn't seem to be very aggressive. Kanter is a year younger than Favors, and has had much less playing experience, yet has grown in leaps and bounds every year. His footwork is much better than favors, and his offensive ceiling is a lot higher. This is very rare in a big man. Favors has a limited offensive arsenal.

I like what I see from Enes, I just think he was used inefficiently. I really want to see how Enes plays under a good coach. I'd hate for the team to trade the wrong guy, especially if it is just to move up in this draft. I am not as in love with the top four prospects as others seem to be. They all appear to be a bit of a gamble.

As far as Burke goes, I don't see how he is a long-term solution for this team. He isn't a great defender, lacks size compared to many PGs, etc. A new coach may make a big difference for him as well, but I haven't liked what I have seen from him.

6th most was not enough.

Also he should have been in at the same time with favors more.

So you think playing favors and marvin together more than favors kanter helps the jazz going forward more

Bingo. Kanter has the heart and ability to improve.Burke is not the long term answer.trade while his stock is high,draft Smart,bring in Neto.

Brook Lopez is the best offensive center in the league and he doesn't play good D. His team got better when he went down.

This reality has me worried about centers who aren't good at defense. Kanter isn't near as good as Lopez and just as bad at D.

Having said that, I don't know if Ty did anything to help this team play defense together.

If Gobert is a starting center, and Favors is the starting PF, who scores in the front court? One of them has to have a real offensive game.

IMO Burke has the potential to be the best player out of your entire core. Usually players make the biggest leap with 2 or 3 years. So while guys are super young and that always bolds well for improvement I think Burke is the guy to expect the biggest leap from.

The only other person under contract with the value to help you move up is Favors. I don't see the Jazz trading him and he is more difficult to move than the other two with his current contract. Burks might help you move up but not so much IMO
