The refs were cowards

I understand your point of view. I really would rather be diplomatic. However, pro sports is a different world. Its a bit like when Ostertag was slapped at a practice in LA. Kobe i think. And skulked away like a whipped puppy. He lost respect in just about everyone's eyes. In the real world or a perfect world his lack of reaction may even of been admirable. But not in that circumstance ! Favors will learn to maintain his cool after stuff like this happens. That's why i approve heartily of Earl's (attempted) retaliation.

slaps or no slaps, technicals, refs, etc... Our FG was 38%, Mavs 51%. End of storry.

The game favors criminal behavior too much, but I do not approve of using criminal behavior even though it does work... and just because another player gets away with it does not mean a Jazz player will get away with it. Violence plays a larger role than it should in determining success in the NBA than it should, but I do not approve of it.

Now that's just an over-reaction Northeast. If Watson had taken a swing at Dirk that would of been very wrong and counter-productive and actual violence. Dirk's action was not criminal behavior either. He was searching for an edge, an Watson just told him to search elsewhere.

A sigh?
You quote me, and say i overreacted, but in the quote I was referring to Kobe, not Watson.

I didn't say Watson assaulted anyone.

I think Watson overreacted, and you don't.

I am not surprised that the refs made him pay a price for his aggression.

I just don't think that the slap of a ball after the play is over is such a big deal.

I was referring to Kobe assaulting Tag, not the Watson Dirk Favors thing.

It was Shaq, not Kobe. After one successfull game Tag said something to the media, like Shaq can be stopped. Then before next Jazz/Lakers game Shaq bitchslaped Tag and he fell on the floor crying" may lenses, my lenses". At least thats how it is written in Shaq's book.
