I get it. It’s his right. I get the annoucement. but ignoring teammates and not meeting/calling the owner is not professional at all.

Yeah, I guess, but I just don't really care about that stuff since he left.

I'm not saying people shouldn't boo him, I certainly would, but I just feel like some of the extreme animosity is ridiculous. He isnt even good anymore. If there were any karmic implications from his decision then Utah has won and he lost.

Do the tribute, boo him, and then hopefully everyone can move on.

As well as clearly not telling them days before to help them plan... when the decision was already made. Even a "I'm leaning strongly towards this route".

I've had to quit a few jobs for other opportunities... while it hurt, sucked and was awkward AF I was direct. I have good relationships with all those places and have had them multiple times try and make offers to come back.

He wasn't a grown up about it... now his *** will get boo'd. I think the tribute is a bad idea because I don't think anyone will want to watch it... yet. If he gets boo'd during his tribute how does that affect free agency? Also, any free agent that is like "you didn't give Hayward a tribute video... I'm out" is probably not one we want to sign. Not giving him a video is not the same as writing a scathing juvenile letter when he leaves... also Lebron came back to that same owner... so obviously FAs evaluate different things.

We have been nothing but class and he has largely ignored it and us... we don't have to give him anything. I mean Boston was petty to Ray Allen and Gordo still signed... even gave him his jersey number when it should be hanging in the rafters.

Agree with this. This is his first return so hopefully we don’t need to deal with this after tonight

That's fine... life is long... looks fade... Kolbi was there cuz she liked Gordon. Robyn might be too, but she could also be there for the money and fame.

I have a few rich friends... they have trophy wives... they are miserable bastards.

Robyn is hot for sure.
